Abstract
Kontroversi penandatanganan GSOMIA yang sebelumnya dihadapi oleh Lee Myung Bak, kini dihadapi pula oleh presiden terpilih baru Korea Selatan, Park Geun Hye. Situasi beresiko terlihat dari masyarakat Korea Selatan yang tidak menyetujui adanya penandatanganan tersebut. Ditambah lagi, skandal politik dan korupsi yang melibatkan Park Geun Hye dengan kawan masa kecilnya memperkeruh suasana. Kondisi ini menunjukan bahwa Park Geun Hye berada pada kondisi yang buruk lantaran skandal dan juga data-data obyektif seperti minimnya dukungan partai, Majelis Nasional, dukungan masyarakat, dan pemberitaan di media yang negatif menanggapi penandatanganan GSOMIA. Berdasarkan prospect theory, domain buruk yang dimiliki Presiden Park Geun Hye membuatnya berani untuk mengambil pilihan paling beresiko, yaitu setuju menandatangani GSOMIA untuk mengalihkan kasus politik yang sedang menerpanya.
English Abstract
The controversy of the signing of GSOMIA was faced before by Lee Myung Bak, now is being faced by the new-elected President Republic of Korea, Park Gun Hye. This situation is at risk, noticing that there are many huge rejections for this signing voiced by the citizen, coupled with corruption and political scandal involving the current president and her childhood-friend. This condition shows that Park Geun Hye is now at loss domain, based on fact that this signing of GSOMIA failed to gain support from the Republic of Korea parties, citizen, National Aseembly, and the media. Based on prospect theory, the loss domain which is possessed by Park Geun Hye made her, eventually, took the riskiest choice, which is to aggree on the signing to divert public attention from her occuring scandal.
