Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran prasangka agama terhadap toleransi beragama pada FPI Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini melibatkan 113 orang anggota FPI dengan menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu accidental sampling. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala prasangka agama yang mengacu pada teori dari Myers (2012), dan teori toleransi beragama yang mengacu pada teori dari Bahari (2010). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan adalah 0,000 (< 0 ,005) dengan demikian hasilnya adalah signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa prasangka agama memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap toleransi beragama pada FPI Jawa Timur. Kontribusi variabel prasangka agama terhadap toleransi beragama sebesar 21,8% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 78,2% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain.
English Abstract
This study aims at determining the role of religious prejudice towards religious tolerance in FPI (Front Pembela Islam/ Islamic Front Guardian) in East Java. This study involved 113 FPI members by using sampling technique namely accidental sampling. The measuring tools that are being used in this study was made by the researcher himself. The researcher uses the scale of religious prejudices in this study that is referred to the theory of Myers (2012), and the theory of religious tolerance by Bahari (2010). The data were analyzed by using simple regression analysis. The results had shown that the significant value is 0.000 (<0.005) hence it shows the significants of this study. It can be concluded that religious prejudice has a significant influence on religious tolerance in FPI in East Java. The contribution of religious prejudice variable to religious tolerance is 21.8% while the rest of 78.2% is influenced by the other factors.
