Abstract

Asuransi jiwa telah berkembang menjadi suatu industri yang menarik dan memiliki peranan yang penting dalam menunjang dunia bisnis, keluarga dan masyarakat. Asuransi jiwa tumbuh menjadi komoditas bisnis yang banyak diminati masyarakat. Persaingan pada industri asuransi jiwa yang semakin kompleks dan kompetitif yang disebabkan oleh jumlah perusahaan asuransi jiwa yang banyak membuat nasabah memiliki banyak pilihan, sehingga menuntut setiap perusahaan untuk bersikap lebih responsif untuk mendapatkan nasabah. Dalam mendukung perubahan organisasi tersebut, maka diperlukan adanya perubahan dalam tubuh organisasi maupun individu atau tenaga pemasar yang ada di dalamnya. Salah satu strategi dalam memenangkan persaingan adalah membentuk organisasi yang dapat bekerja secara efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan strategi dan dampak penerapan organizational structural change PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia Regional III. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan strategi penerapan organizational structure change terhadap kinerja yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendorong seperti sistem kerja efektif dan efisien, adanya persaingan industri yang semakin meningkat, serta menjaga kepercayaan Nasabah. Dampak terhadap kinerja ada empat meliputi tingkat kesesuaian penerapan, meningkatkan sistem networking dan kerja sama, meningkatkan percepatan dan pengembangan karir, serta peningkatan penjualan produk asuransi jiwa. Restrukturisasi organisasi ini juga berdampak terhadap motivasi para tenaga pemasar, baik dari motivasi instrinsik maupun motivasi ekstrinsik.

English Abstract

Life insurance has developed into an attractive industry and has an important role in supporting businesses, families and communities. It grew into a business commodity which attracted many people. Competition in the life insurance industry is increasingly complex and competitive due to the number of life insurance companies made a lot of customers have many choices, that requires every company to be more responsive to acquire customers, to support the organizational change, motivation and performance of employees. According to the first interview with top management, obtained information that there is a distance between superiors and subordinate in Allianz Life Indonesia’s new system, where Business Partner (leader) only served to control Business Executive and give freedom to the actions carried out by subordinates so that the relationship between them is less synergy. The purpose of research is to describe implementation strategies and the impact of organizational structure change to Financial Consultant’s motivation. This study use a qualitative research method. Research results obtained implementation strategy of organizational structure change which influenced by factors such as the driver of an effective and efficient work system, increasing of industry competition, and maintaining customer trust. The impact for Financial Consultant’s performance encompass level of conformity the implementation of new structure and system, improve the networking system and cooperation, improve the acceleration and development of career, and improve the sales of life insurance product. There are two impact to Financial Consultant’s motivation including intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.
