Abstract

Pada proses penanaman jagung menggunakan mesin tanam benih (Seed Planter), penutupan lubang tanam dengan tanah, biasanya pada mesin seed planter dilengkapi dengan pemadatan tanah. Tekanan yang diberikan oleh alat penutup tanah berpengaruh pada kemampuan kecambah menembus tanah dan dapat mempengaruhi laju pertumbuhan perkecambahan biji tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan faktor tunggal (tekanan) dengan tiga perlakuan tekanan sebesar 100 gram, 300 gram, dan 500 gram. Setiap perlakuan diulang tiga kali, pengamatan dan analisis data dilakukan meliputi parameter daya perkecambahan yang diperoleh dari analisis dengan menggunakan tiga model matematis perkecambahan yaitu model gompertz, logistic, dan general logistic. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa laju pertumbuhan perkecambahan tanaman jagung terbaik pada tekanan 500 gram memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tinggi batang yaitu 42,7 cm, diameter yaitu 6,65 cm, dan berat basah tanaman yaitu 2,917 gram dan berat kering tanaman yaitu 0,658 gram, Sedangkan untuk pemodelan dari ketiga perlakuan tersebut yang sesuai dengan data yang dihasilkan selama proses pengamatan adalah model gompertz dengan persamaan Y=K exp(-exp(-b(x-m))) memberikan hasil lebih sesuai dibandingkan model logistik dan general logistik.

English Abstract

On the cultivation of the corn seed, planting machine using the closing hole for planting with soil, usually on a machine the seed planter filled with soil compaction. The pressure given by the tool cover ground effect on the ability of sprouts to penetrate the soil and can affect the rate of growth of the corn plant seed germination. This research use a single factor (pressure) with three treatment pressure of 100 grams, 300 grams, and 500 grams. Each treatment was repeat three times, observations and data analysis performed includes the power parameters of germination obtained from the analysis of mathematical models using three germination are gompertz model, namely logistics, and general logistics. The results of this study stated that the rate of growth of the corn plant is the better germination at a pressure of 500 gram has significant effects against high trunk that is 42.7 cm, diameter namely 6.65 cm, and the weight of the wet plants namely 2.917 grams and dry weight of the plant namely 0.658 grams because the pressure at the treatment will increase the density of the soil, so that the ground given the pressure will change the composition and distribution of soil pores, the strength of the soil, and soil aeration gives the effect of interaction against the speed of growing plants. As for modeling itself, the treatment of these three which corresponds to the data that is generated during the process of observation is a model with gompertz equation Y = K exp (exp (-b (x-m))) gives more results than the model of logistics and General logistics.
