Indonesian Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) merupakan jenis tanaman holtikultura yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dan merupakan salah satu komoditas holtikultura andalan dalam sektor pertanian. Keberhasilan kegiatan budidaya bawang merah tidak hanya ditentukan dari varietas unggulan melainkan dari syarat tumbuh tanaman dan teknis budidaya yang benar. Pemupukan merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman, namun pada prakteknya proses pemupukan tidaklah efektif dan efisien. Ketersediaan unsur hara dalam tanah tidak hanya di peroleh dari adanya kegiatan pemupukan melainkan dapat diperoleh dari penambahan bahan organik. Bahan organik dapat diperoleh dari sisa-sisa dari kegiatan makhluk hidup seperti kotoran hewan ternak dan sisa dari kegiatan budidaya seperti limbah kulit kopi dari sisa pengelolahan buah kopi menjadi biji kopi. Limbah kulit kopi dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi media yang membantu pertumbuhan tanaman dan meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara dalam tanah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pada bulan Maret – September 2017 dengan kegiatan penelitian meliputi: pengambilan sampel tanah di lahan tegalan Dau dan limbah kulit kopi di PTPN XII Kebun Bangelan, analisis dasar, persiapan media tanam dan bahan organik, penanaman, pengamatan dan pemeliharaan di glasshouse laboratorium terpadu universitas brawijaya, panen, analisis akhir (pH tanah, C-organik tanah, N serapan, N total, dsb.), pengelolahan data, dan penyusunan laporan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap sederhana (RAL) dengan 20 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian limbah kulit kopi dan pupuk hayati perpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatkan N total sebesar 13,36% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 100% + pupuk hayati 100%, C-organik sebesar 106,06% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 100%, pH dalam tanah sebesar 13,87% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 75% + Urea 25% + pupuk hayati 25%, efisiensi serapan unsur hara N oleh tanaman sebesar 233,64% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 50% + urea 50% + pupuk hayati 100%, tinggi tanaman sebesar 167,65% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 100% + pupuk hayati 50%, jumlah daun sebesar 254,67% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 75% + urea 25% + pupuk hayati 50%, berat basah tanaman sebesar 795,20% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 50% + urea 50% + pupuk hayati 50%, berat kering tanaman sebesar 1075,83% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 100%, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan namun dapat meningkatkan jumlah anakan anakan sebesar 86,67% pada perlakuan kulit kopi 50% + urea 50% + pupuk hayati 50%.

English Abstract

Onion (Allium cepa L.) is a horticulture crop which a widely cultivated by farmers to sufficient of community was needed and it’s mainstay horticultural commodities in agricultural sector. Onion cultivation activities was successfully is not only determined from the varieties but it also from requirements of growing plants and proper cultivation techniques. Fertilization is one of activities has associated with growth and production of plants, but fertilization process in the practice is not effective and efficient. Availability of soil nutrients is not only obtained from the fertilization activities but can be obtained from addition organic matter. Organic materials can be obtained from the remnants activities of living things such as livestock manure and residue from cultivation activities such as coffee’s skin waste from the coffee’s management became coffee beans. Coffee’s skin waste can be used for helps growing plants and availability was increasing of soil nutrients. The research was conducted in March - September 2017 with research activities covering: soil sampling in Dau field and coffee’s skin waste at PTPN XII Kebun Bangelan, basic analysis, preparation of planting medium and organic material, planting, observation and maintenance in laboratory glasshouse integrated brawijaya university, harvest, final analysis (soil pH, C-organic soil, N uptake, N total, etc.), data processing, and report preparation. This study used a completely simple randomized design (RAL) with 20 treatments and 3 replications. The result of the research showed that the giving of leather waste and biofertilizer significantly affected the total increase of 13.36% in the coffee’s skin waste 100% + Biofertilizer 100% treatment, C-organic treatment has 106.06% in the coffee’s skin waste 100% treatment, pH in the soil has 13.87% in the coffee’s skin waste 75% + urea 25% + biofertilizer 25% treatment, nutrient uptake efficiency of N nutrient by plant has 233,64% in the coffee’s skin waste 50% + urea 50% + biofertilizer 100% treatment, plant height has 167,65% in the coffee’s skin waste 100% + biofertilizer 50% treatment, number of leaves has 254,67% in the coffee’s skin waste 75% + urea 25% + biofertilizer 50% treatment, wet weight of plant equal to 795,20% in the coffee’s skin waste 50% + urea 50% + biofertilizer 50% treatment, plant dry weight has 1075.83% in the treatment coffee’s skin waste 100%, and no significant effect on the number of tillers but can increase the number of tillers has 86.67% in the coffee’s skin waste 50% + urea 50% + biofertilizer 50% treatment .
