Indonesian Abstract

Ikan Tawes (Puntius javanicus) merupakan salah satu komoditas air tawar yang cukup digemari oleh masyarakat. Namun, pemeliharaan ikan tawes dalam wadah terkontrol belum banyak dilakukan sehingga informasi mengenai suhu yang sesuai untuk inkubasi penetasan telur ikan tawes masih terbatas. Suhu merupakan faktor lingkungan yang berpengaruh langsung terhadap penetasan telur ikan dan lama waktu penetasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui suhu inkubasi 280c terhadap perkembangan embrio ikan tawes dan lama waktu penetasan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2017 di UPT PBAT Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Deskriptif. Parameter utama yang diteliti yaitu embrio ikan tawes yang diinkubasi dengan suhu 280c, sedangkan parameter penunjang dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai pH selama penelitian dan nilai DO (oksigen terlarut) selama penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan suhu inkubasi 280c berpangaruh terhadap perkembangan embrio dan lama waktu penetasan. Pada suhu media inkubasi 280c diperoleh lama waktu penetasan telur ikan tawes terjadi dalam kurun waktu 11 jam 33 menit. Kualitas air selama perkembangan embrio diperoleh suhu berkisar antara 27-290C, pH berkisar antara 6,9-7,4, serta kandungan oksigen terlarut (DO) berkisar antara 5,97-6,18 ppm. Kualitas air selama peneltian masih dalam kondisi yang dapat ditolerir oleh telur ikan tawes.

English Abstract

Tawes Fish (Puntius javanicus) is one of the fresh water commodities that are favored by the public. However, maintenance of tawes fish in controlled containers has not been done so much that information on the appropriate temperature for incubation hatching of tawes eggs is still limited. Temperature is an environmental factor that directly affects the hatching of fish eggs and the duration of hatching. This study aims to determine the incubation temperature of 280c on embryo development of tawes fish and the duration of hatching. This research was conducted on June-July 2017 at UPT PBAT Pasuruan, East Java. This research use Descriptive Method. The main parameters studied were tawes embryo incubated with temperature 280c, while the supporting parameters in this study were pH value during the study and the value of DO (dissolved oxygen) during the study. The results showed that the 280c incubation temperature treatment influenced embryo development and hatching time. At 280c incubation media temperature obtained the duration of tawes egg hatching occurs within 11 hours 33 minutes. Water quality during embryonic development obtained temperatures ranging from 27-290C, the pH ranged from 6.9-7.4, and the dissolved oxygen content (DO) ranged from 5.97 to 6.18 ppm. Water quality during the study is still in a condition that can be tolerated by tawes eggs.
