Mahardini, Putri (2017) Pengaruh Jumlah Inokulum, pH, dan Konsentrasi Awal Cr(VI) terhadap Biosorpsi Cr(VI) oleh Trichorderma viride. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

Jumlah biosorpsi Cr(VI) meningkat seiring peningkatan jumlah inokulum. Jumlah biosorpsi Cr(VI) dengan jumlah inokulum 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10 mL dengan konsentrasi awal Cr(VI) 100 mg/L yaitu sebesar 65,00; 69,55; 72,20; 73,06; 74,69%. Sementara itu, jumlah biosorpsi Cr(VI) menurun seiring meningkatnya konsentrasi awal Cr(VI). Jumlah biosorpsi Cr(VI) dengan konsentrasi awal 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, dan 100 mg/L yaitu sebesar 90,41; 95,59; 96,86; 86,80; 85,54; dan 69,61%.

English Abstract

Chromium which exists in hexavalent and trivalent, is a pollutant in aquatic systems. However, Cr(VI) is more toxic and more mutagenic than Cr(III). The aim of this experiments is to determine the potential of Trichoderma viride in the biosorption of Cr(VI) in the water samples. The variables studied were the number of inoculums, pH, and initial concentrations of Cr(VI). The amount of inoculums used were 2 mL, 4 mL, 6 mL, 8 mL, and 10 mL. the variations of pH used were 4-7.5. The variation of initial concentrations of Cr(VI) used were 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 mg/L. The determination of Cr(VI) was conducted using spectrophotometry method, which used diphenylcarbazide as coloring agent. The biosorption of Cr(VI) Trichoderma viride with various pHs of 4; 4.5; 5; 5.5; 6; 6.5; 7; 7.5 equals to 98.16; 98.37; 97.93; 98.32; 99.13; 99.09; 98.22%, respectively. The highest amount of reduction of Cr(VI) occurred on pH 6, that equals to 99.13%. The biosorption of Cr(VI) using inoculums of 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mL were equals to 65.00; 69.55; 72.20; 73.06; 74.69%, respectively. The trends observed were the more the amount of inoculum used, the greater the amount of Cr(VI)-sorption; the more the concentrations of Cr(VI) used, the smaller the amounts of Cr(VI)-sorption. The amount of biosorption of Cr(VI) using initial concentrations of Cr(VI) 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100mg/L were equals to 90.41; 95.59; 96.86; 86.80; 85.54; and 69.61%, respectively.
