Indonesian Abstract

Pupuk organik adalah pupuk yang berasal dari bahan organik yang dapat memperbaiki sifat tanah tanpa meninggalkan residu yang buruk bagi lingkungan. Bio-slurry adalah limbah biogas yang berasal dari kotoran ternak yang merupakan salah satu contoh dari pupuk organik. Bio-slurry cair dapat diaplikasikan menjadi pupuk hidroponik, sedangkan padat dapat di aplikasikan untuk kantong tanam organik. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini dilakukan pemisahan bio-slurry menjadi pupuk cair dan pupuk padat dengan filtrasi metode vakum. Filtrasi adalah sebuah operasi pemisahan campuran yang heterogen antara fluida dan partikel-partikel padatan oleh media filter. Metode yang digunakan uji performansi ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan perlakuan penambahan pengencer bio-slurry cair sebanyak, 50%, 75% dan 100% (v/v). Dimana waktu filtrasi dilakukan selama 30 menit. Kemudian parameter yang diamati selama proses berlangsung adalah kapasitas kerja, tingkat efisiensi terhadap proses filtrasi, serta kebutuhan daya dan energi listrik pada mesin. Hasil penelitian didapatkan semakin banyak penambahan pengencer yang diberikan, maka semakin besar kapasitas kerja mesin. Efisiensi filtrasi terbaik terdapat pada penambahan pengencer sebanyak 75%. Kebutuhan energi listrik yang terbaik adalah pada perlakuan penambahan pengencer sebanyak 75%, yaitu sebesar 0,112 kWh.

English Abstract

The fertilizer is organic fertilizer which can be either a liquid or solids that come from organic materials or remains of living things such as plants and animals that can fix the nature of the physical, chemical and biological soil without leaving a residue that is bad for the environment. Bio-slurry is one example of the organic fertilizers can improve the quality system of organic farming. Bio-slurry is waste biogas derived from feces of livestock. The difficulty of farmers in the distribution of fertilizer bio-slurry that intangible mud became the background for dilakungan separation of bio-slurry liquid manure and fertilizers become dense with filtration vacuum method. Filtration is a heterogeneous mixture separation operation between the fluid and the solid particles by the filter media. The methods used to test the performance of this is a descriptive method with the addition of a diluent levels treatment bio-liquid slurry on bio-slurry material will be in filtration. Each sample was given a name that is a sample sample I, II, and III sample with repetition as much as 3 times. Given the volume of material is as much as 1.5 litter for each sample. Then each sampled sequentially added bio-slurry liquid diluent as much, 50%, 75% and 100% (v/v) with filtration time for 30 minutes. Then the parameters are observed during the process of taking place is a work capacity, the level of efficiency of the filtration process, as well as the needs of the power and electrical energy on the machine. Of the research obtained a work capacity that produced the best there is in the addition of a diluent sebnayak 100%. Best is present on the efficiency of treatment of adding the diluent as much as 75%. 75% of treatment requires the least amount of energy compared with other treatments. Electrical energy needs is best on the addition of the diluent treatment as much as 75%, that of 0.112 kWh.
