Indonesian Abstract

Perkembangan dibidang industri tekstil memiliki dampak positif, diantaranya meningkatkan laju perekonomian, menyerap tenaga kerja, dan lain sebagainya. Namun, tanpa pengelolaan yang tepat produksi tekstil juga memicu timbulnya dampak negatif berupa pencemaran lingkungan. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pengolahan limbah cair agar limbah cair yang dihasilkan dapat memenuhi baku mutu yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah. PT Behaestex Pandaan telah melakukan pengelolaan lingkungan khususnya air limbah , namun penataannya masih belum memadai sehingga menyebabkan efisiensi yang kurang dalam hal penggunaan energi dan kualitas hasil keluarannya. Perancangan ini akan meliputi desain unit pengolahan limbah cair untuk industri tekstil dalam hal ini adalah PT Behaestex Pandaan yang berkapasitas 1500 m3/hari. Sistem yang akan diterapkan dalam Unit pengolahan air limbah ini meliputi pretreatment, primary treatment, secondary treatment, dan tertiary treatmen. Pretreatment meliputi bar screen dan bak ekualisasi. Primary treatment mencakup proses koagulasi flokulasi dengan FeCl3, Ca(OH)2, Polyelectrolite, MgCl2 dan CaCl2. MgCl2 dan CaCl2 diperoleh dari proses water treatment yang berfungsi sebagai coagulant aids untuk menghemat penggunaan koagulan. Penghematan penggunaan koagulan FeCl3 mencapai 0,5 ml/L air limbah dan penghematan kapur (Ca(OH)2) sebamyak 2 ml/L air limbah. Secondary treatment dengan metode activated sludge dan tertiary treatment menggunakan carbon filter. Biaya pembangunan diestimasikan sebesar Rp 6.356.716.190,- dengan total biaya penghematan bulanan sebesar Rp 171.400.000,- / bulan.

English Abstract

The development in the textile industry has a positive impact, including increasing the rate of the economy, absorbing labor, and so forth. However, without proper management of textile production also leads to negative impacts of environmental pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to process liquid waste so that the liquid waste produced can meet the quality standard that has been determined by the government. PT Behaestex Pandaan has conducted environmental management, especially waste water, but the arrangement is still inadequate resulting in less efficiency in terms of energy use and quality of output. This design will cover the design of liquid waste treatment unit for textile industry in this case is PT Behaestex Pandaan with capacity 1500 m3 / day. The systems to be applied in this wastewater treatment unit include pretreatment, primary treatment, secondary treatment, and tertiary treatments. Pretreatment includes a bar screen and equalization tub. Primary treatment includes flocculation coagulation process with FeCl3, Ca(OH)2, Polyelectrolite, MgCl2 and CaCl2. MgCl2 and CaCl2 are obtained from the water treatment process that serves as coagulant aids to save the use of coagulant. The savings of coagulant use of FeCl3 reached 0.5 ml / L of waste water and lime savings (Ca(OH)2) of 2 ml / L of waste water. Secondary treatment with activated sludge method and tertiary treatment using carbon filter. Development cost is estimated to be Rp 6,356,716,190, - with total monthly savings cost of Rp 171.400.000, - / month.
