Abstract

Memasuki era perdagangan bebas dan kondisi persaingan yang semakin ketat, Perusahaan perlu meningkatkan kinerja secara efektif dan efisien agar mencapai tujuan yang telah direncanakan oleh perusahaan. Produktivitas merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk mengevaluasi kinerja yang telah dilakukan bahkan menjadi salah satu cara yang tepat dalam menilai efisiensi pemakaian jumlah input dalam menghasilkan output tertentu. Hal ini penting dilakukan UD. WARTONO yang bergerak dalam bidang manufaktur dengan memproduksi peralatan rumah tangga. UD. Wartono belum mempunyai metode yang baku dalam mengukur kinerja produktivitas, baik produktivitas total maupun parsial yamg meliputi tenaga kerja, energi, material dan modal. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode pengukuran produktivitas model APC (American Produktivity Center). Penggunaan metode ini dilakukan agar perusahaan dapat mengetahui tingkat produktivitas dan hubungan langsung antara profitabilitas dengan produktivitas. Sedangkan tools Root Cause Analysis digunakan sebagai metode untuk mengevaluasi kembali hasil dari pengukuran produktivits dari perusahaan terkait. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan Indeks Produktivitas (IP) dan Indeks Profitabilitas (IPF) pada UD. WARTONO, hasil yang didapat yaitu nilai IP cenderung menurun setiap bulan dibandingkan dengan periode dasar. Nilai IPF lebih fluktuatif pergerakannya, namun pada bulan April, Agustus dan Oktober semua faktor mengalami penurunan. Dari hasil analisa dan menggunakan tools Root Cause Analysis (RCA) ditemukan beberapa masalah yang menyebabkan turunnya nilai IP dan IPF. Masalah tersebut yaitu harga jual produk yang rendah dan banyak distributor yang tidak lagi mengambil produk pada perusahaan. Faktor masalah lain yang terjadi adalah perusahaan belum berani meluaskan pangsa pasar dikarenakan tidak ada biaya promosi. Dilakukan analisis Root Cause Analysis, ditemukan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk UD. WARTONO. Rekomendasi perbaikan yang diajukan pada perusahaan antara lain melakukan promosi langsung ke konsumen supaya produk lebih dikenal. Lebih intens melakukan promosi supaya jika ada distributor yang mundur bisa mudah mendapat distributor baru. Perusahaan disarankan melakukan pelatihan metode Lean Six Sigma agar semua pekerja mengerti dan dapat meminimalisir kesalahan saat proses produksi.

English Abstract

By entering free trade era and the thighter competition conditions, companies need to improve their performance. Productivity is one of the alternatives for evaluating performance that have been done, it even become one of the right way in assessing the efficiency of input usage in generate particular output. This assessment is important to be done by UD. WARTONO who engaged in manufacturing household appliances. UD. Wartono does not have standard method in measuring the productivity performance either in total productivity or in partial productivity which include labour, energy, materials and capital. In this study, measurement productivity model of APC (American Produktivity Center) method is used. This method is used so that the company can know the level of productivity and the direct relationship between profitability with productivity. While the Root Cause Analysis tool is used as a method to re-evaluate the results of the productivity measurements from related companies. In this research calculated of Index of Productivity (IP) and the index of profitability (IPF) at UD. WARTONO, the results obtained are IP values tend to decrease each month compared to the base period. The value of the IPF is more fluctuative, but the all factors decline more in April, August and October. From the results of the analysis and from Root Cause Analysis using the tools (RCA) found some problems which led into the fall of IP and IPF value. The problems are the sale price of products that are low and many distributors who are no longer taking the product from the company. Another factor in the problem is that the company doesn not yet dare to expand market share due to no promotion fees. Root Cause analysis were performed done, the recommendations for improvements to UD. WARTONO are found. Recommendations for improvements proposed to the company, among others are, doing promotions directly to consumers so that product will be known better. Increase the intensity of promotion so that if there is a distributors who retreat company can easily get new distributors. Company is advised to conduct training Lean Six Sigma method, so that all workers understand and can minimize mistakes during the production process.
