Indonesian Abstract

Lapangan Kittiwake merupakan salah satu lapangan hidrokarbon yang berlokasi di area lepas pantai (offshore) laut utara bagian tengah, Britania Raya. Ditinjau dari aspek tektonik, lapangan Kittiwake berada di area cekungan laut utara tengah yang dikontrol oleh mekanisme tektonik garam (halokinesis) Zechstein Halite sehingga mempengaruhi morfologi dan potensi reservoir hidrokarbon pada lapangan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui gambaran bawah permukaan, potensi dari reservoir, dan prediksi zona pengeboran sumur ekplorasi selanjutnya di lapangan Kittiwake, dilakukan pemodelan dan analisis petrofisika pada interval reservoir Formasi Fulmar. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa data seismik post-stack 3D dan tiga data sumur berserta data physical formation log masing-masing sumur. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa morfologi reservoir Formasi Fulmar berupa struktur kubah (domal structure) yang memanjang dengan trend arah barat-timur yang terbentuk oleh mekanisme halokinesis Zechstein Halite. Reservoir Formasi Fulmar juga memiliki karakteristik petrofisika yang dinilai cukup baik dengan kandungan lempung yang rendah berkisar dari 4.9% - 15%, porositas efektif yang cukup tinggi berkisar dari 14.8% - 29.3%, permeabilitas yang tinggi hingga mencapai 8500 mD, dan saturasi air yang rendah dengan dominasi nilai presentase 30%. Potensi unit reservoir paling baik berada pada area sumur K-2A dengan kandungan lempung dan saturasi paling rendah serta porositas efektif dan permeabilitas paling tinggi dibandingkan area dua sumur lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil pemodelan petrofisika, zona pengeboran sumur eksplorasi selanjutnya diprediksi berada di area timur-tenggara dari struktur kubah reservoir Formasi Fulmar dengan pertimbangan morfologi dan properti petrofisika pada area target.

English Abstract

Kittiwake Field is one of the hydrocarbon fields located in the offshore area of the central north sea, United Kingdom. In terms of tectonic aspects, the Kittiwake field is located in the central north sea basin area which is controlled by the Zechstein Halite salt tectonic mechanism (halokinesis) which affects the morphology and hydrocarbon reservoir potential of the field. To find out the subsurface picture, the reservoir potential, and the prediction of further exploration well drilling zones at the Kittiwake field, petrophysical modeling and analysis were carried out at the reservoir intervals of the Fulmar Formation. The data used in the study are 3D post-stack seismic data and three well data along with physical formation log data for each well. The results of the study show that the reservoir morphology of the Fulmar Formation is a domal structure extending to the east-west trend formed by the Zechstein Halite halokinesis mechanism. The Fulmar Reservoir also has petrophysical characteristics that are considered quite good with low clay volume ranging from 4.9% - 15%, high effective porosity ranging from 14.8% - 29.3%, high permeability up to 8500 mD, and low water saturation with a predominance of 30% percentage value. Potential reservoir units are best located in the K-2A well area with the lowest clay volume and saturation also the highest effective porosity and permeability compared to the other two wells area. Based on the results of petrophysical modeling, the exploration well drilling zone is then predicted to be in the east-southeast area of the Fulmar Formation reservoir domal structure with consideration of morphology and petrophysical properties at the target area.
