han bakar minyak yang berasal dari fosil merupakan bahan bakar yang semakin menipis ketersediaannya di bumi dan harus segera ditemukan penggantinya dikarenakan sangat banyaknya kebutuhan sehari-hari yang mengandalkan energi fosil ini. Bersamaan dengan kondisi tersebut limbah dari kulit jeruk sangatlah berlimpah dan memiliki potensi sebagai bahan aditif bahan bakar bahkan bahan bakar utama. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menemukan bahan bakar alternatif dan menambah efisiensi bahan bakar fosil yang ada dengan penambahan orange peel oil pada bahan bakar bensin Premium dan mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap sifat fisik bahan bakar pada persentase konsentrasi penambahan orange peel oil 1%, 5%, 10% 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% orange peel oil.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental langsung dan studi literatur. Orange peel oil akan dicampur dengan bensin Premium pada tingkatan konsentrasi volume orange peel oil sebesar 1%, 5%, 10% 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% dan diuji sifat fisiknya, seperti densitas, viskositas, dan nilai kalor, serta memprediksikan flamabilitasnya berupa flash point melalui studi literatur. Setiap penambahan konsentrasi volume orange peel oil kedalam bensin Premium mempengaruhi kenaikkan densitas dan viskositas bahan bakar, dengan campuran bahan bahan bakar yang masuk kedalam range bahan bakar bensin di konsentrasi volume orange peel oil 1% sampai 25%, dan selanjutnya kedalam bahan bakar diesel. Nilai kalor yang dihasilkan mengalami kenaikkan yang tidak linier, dan besarnya tidak lebih dari nilai kalor bensin maupun diesel. Gaya antar molekul sangat mempengaruhi hasil pengujian sifat fisik dan juga studi literatur flash point, dengan mengetahui kandungan monoterpen yang dominan pada orange peel oil dan interaksinya apabila dicampurkan dengan senyawa benzena pada bensin premium.

English Abstract

uel oil derived from fossils is a fuel that leak its availability on earth and should soon be found replacement due to the enormous amount of daily needs relying on this fossil energy. Along with the condition the waste from the orange peel is very abundant and has the potential as fuel additives even the main fuel. This research aims to find alternative fuels and increase the efficiency of existing fossil fuels with the addition of orange peel oil to Premium gasoline fuel and to know its effect on the physical properties of the fuel at the concentration percentage of orange peel oil 1%, 5%, 10% 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% orange peel oil.. This research uses direct experimental methods and literature studies. Orange peel oil will be mixed with Premium gasoline on the level of concentrations of orange peel oil by 1%, 5%, 10% 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% and tested in physical properties, such as density, viscosity, and the value of the heat, and predict the flammability of flash points through literary studies. Each addition of the volume concentration of orange peel oil to Premium gasoline affects the increase in density and fuel viscosity, with a mixture of fuel that enters into the fuel range in the concentration of orange peel oil, 1% to 25%, and further into the diesel fuel. The resulting heat value has an unlinear output, and the magnitude is nothing more than a gas or diesel heat value. The intermolecular force greatly affects the outcome of physical testing and the study of Flash point literature, by knowing the content of the dominant monoterpenes in orange peel Oil and its interaction when combined with benzene compounds in premium gasoline.
