Abstract

Bader merupakan ikan endemik Sungai Brantas yang keberadaannya semakin sulit ditemukan terutama pada kawasan hulu sungai. Informasi mengenai bioekologi ikan bader di aliran Sungai Brantas belum tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakter ekologi ditinjau dari parameter kualitas air habitat ikan bader dan biologinya di aliran Sungai Brantas Desa Tawangrejo. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Februari 2020 sebanyak tiga kali ulangan dengan interval waktu dua minggu sekali. Penelitian berlokasikan di Omah Iwak Badher Bank. Titik sampling dibagi menjadi tiga stasiun. Sampel ikan diambil menggunakan teknik acak sederhana ditangkap menggunakan jala tebar meshsize 2.5 inch, sampel kualitas air menggunakan purposive sampling, dan sampel perifiton menggunakan metode sapuan pada substrat tanaman dengan luasan 5x5 cm2 di identifikasi menggunakan Lackley Drop Microtransect Counting Method. Hasil analisis menunjukan karakter ekologi setiap stasiun pengamatan tergolong baik meskipun terdapat parameter karbondioksida, amonia, dan ortofosfat melebihi kadar optimal. Struktur komunitas perifiton dalam keadaan seimbang dan ditemukan sebanyak 6 devisi 59 genus dengan kelimpahan tertinggi Devisi Bacillariophyta. Makrofita akuatik terdiri atas eceng gondok dan hidrila. Karakter biologi memiliki pola pertumbuhan ikan jantan W= 0.0173L2.9015 (R2= 0.9339, b<3) bersifat allometrik negatif; ikan betina W= 0.0107L3.0928 (R2= 0.8247, b>3) bersifat allometik positif. Faktor kondisi berkisar 1.00-1.01. TKG banyak dijumpai pada tahap IV. IKG tahap maturasi berkisar 3.39%-12.87%. Nisbah kelamin menyimpang dari 1:1. Hubungan aspek ekologi dan biologi menunjukkan parameter suhu, pH dan kelimpahan perfiton sebagai faktor utama mempengaruhi keadaan biologi ikan bader.

English Abstract

Barb is an endemic fish of Brantas river increasingly difficult to find, especially in the upstream area. Bioecology information of barb in the Brantas river is not yet available. The aims of this study was to analyze ecological character based on water quality parameters of barb habitat and its biology in the Brantas river flow, Tawangrejo Village. Sampling was conducted on January to February 2020 as three times in interval of two weeks. Study is located at Omah Iwak Badher Bank. Sampling point are divided into three stations. Samples of fish taken using simple random sampling captured by cast net 2.5 inch, water quality using purposive sampling and periphyton using brush method on the plant substrate 5 x 5 cm2 were identified Lackley Drop Microtransect Counting Method. The resuts indicate of each observation station is good despite the parameters of carbon dioxide, ammonia, and orthophosphate exceeding the optimal level. Periphyton community structure is balanced and found 6 Devision 59 genera with highest abundance of the Bacillariophyta division. Macrofita aquatic consists of hyancinth and hydrila. Biological characters have growth patterns of male fish W = 0.0173L2.9015 (R2 = 0.9339, b <3) are allometric negative; famle fish W= 0.0107L3.0928 (R2= 0.8247, b>3) are allometric positive. The condition factors range 1.00-1.01. Level of gonad maturity is found in stage IV. GSI in maturation stage is 3.39%-12.87%. The relationship of ecological and biological aspects shows the parameters of temperature, pH and abundance of periphyton as a major factor affecting the biological state of barb.
