Indonesian Abstract

Terung gelatik merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang banyak diminati masyarakat karena harga yang terjangkau dan dapat dikonsumsi segar ataupun diolah serta dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat pencernaan, kesehatan kulit, dan pemacu kinerja otak. Namun penelitian mengenai terung gelatik dan produksinya masih jarang dilakukan. Salah satu permasalahan dalam budidaya terung gelatik di Indonesia ialah masih banyaknya petani yang menggunakan pupuk anorganik berlebihan. Maka untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman ini perlu dilakukan aplikasi pupuk kandang ayam dan penggunaan varietas unggul. Selain menambah unsur hara tanah, pupuk kandang ayam juga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan tanah menahan air. Varietas unggul yang dapat digunakan yaitu varietas Jeno F1 dan Kenari karena keduanya mampu beradaptasi dengan baik di dataran rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil terung gelatik varietas Jeno F1 dan Kenari. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2019 di Desa Kepuhrejo, Kecamatan Ngantru, Kabupaten Tulungagung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan penggunaan varietas dengan total 8 perlakuan meliputi (1) Tanpa pupuk kandang ayam + varietas Jeno F1, (2) Tanpa pupuk kandang ayam + varietas Kenari, (3) Pupuk kandang ayam 30 ton ha-1 + varietas Jeno F1, (4) Pupuk kandang ayam 30 ton ha-1 + varietas Kenari, (5) Pupuk kandang ayam 40 ton ha-1 + varietas Jeno F1, (6) Pupuk kandang ayam 40 ton ha-1 + varietas Kenari, (7) Pupuk kandang ayam 50 ton ha-1 + varietas Jeno F1, (8) Pupuk kandang ayam 50 ton ha-1 + varietas Kenari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, diameter batang, jumlah buah, berat buah, diameter buah, indeks panen, dan berat buah per hektar. Data yang didapatkan diuji menggunakan analisis ragam dengan uji F taraf 5%. Jika hasil yang didapatkan berbeda nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan uji BNJ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada perlakuan pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dosis 40 ton ha-1 pada varietas Jeno F1 memberi pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman (54,54 cm), jumlah daun (19,95 helai), luas daun( 1249,74 cm2), diameter batang (8,27 mm), berat buah (42,91 gram), jumlah buah (25 buah), diameter buah (45,40 mm), indeks panen (0,88%), dan berat buah per hektar (52,94 ton ha-1). Kemudian pada varietas Kenari penambahan dosis pupuk kandang ayam 50 ton ha-1 mampu memberi pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun (19,50 helai), diameter batang (8,19 mm), jumlah buah (17,8 buah), diameter buah (4,19 cm), indeks panen (0,73%), dan berat buah per hektar (22,57 ton ha-1).

English Abstract

Gelatik eggplant are classified as horticultural commodity which much in demand by people because of its affordable price and it can be used as an itching medication on the skin, stomach ache, and brain stimulant. However, research on gelatik eggplant and its production is still rarely done and one of the problems in the cultivation of eggplant in Indonesia there are still many farmers who use excessive anorganic fertilizer. To know the growth and production of these plants need to be done, among others, by applying chicken manure and the use of superior varieties. In addition to adding soil nutrients, chicken manure is also able to increase the ability of the soil to retain water. Superior varieties that can be used are Jeno F1 and Kenari varieties because both are able to adapt well in the lowlands. This study aims to determine the effect of the dose of chicken manure on the growth and yield of galatik eggplant of Jeno F1 and Kenari varieties. The research was conducted in July to October 2019 in Kepuhrejo Village, Ngantru Sub-district, Tulungagung District. The study was conducted using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with treatment of doses of chicken manure (P) and the use of varieties (V) with a total of 8 treatments including (1) Without chicken manure + Jeno F1 variety, (2) Without chicken manure + Kenari variety, (3) Chicken manure of 30 tons ha-1 + Jeno F1 variety, (4) Chicken manure of 30 tons ha-1 + Kenari variety), (5) Chicken manure of 40 tons ha-1 + Jeno F1 variety, (6) Chicken manure of 40 tons ha-1 + Kenari variety, (7) Chicken manure of 50 tons ha-1 + Jeno F1 variety, (8) Chicken manure of 50 tons ha-1 + Kenari variety. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, number of fruits, fruit weight, fruit diameter, harvest index, and weight per hectare. The data obtained were tested using analysis of variance with an F test of 5% level. If the results obtained are significantly different, then it will be proceeded by using the HSD test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment of chicken manure with a dose of 50 tons ha-1 in Jeno F1 variety obtained the best results on plant height (54,54 cm), number of leaves (19,95 strands), leaf area (1249,74 cm2), stem diameter (8,27 mm), fruit weight (42,91 grams), number of fruits (25), fruit diameter (45,40 mm), harvest index (0.88%), and weight per hectare (52,94 tons ha-1).Then in the Kenari variety the addition of a dose of 50 tons ha-1 of chicken manure obtained the best results on the number of leaves (19.50 strands), stem diameter (8.19 mm), number of fruits (17.8 fruits), diameter of fruit (4 , 19 cm), harvest index (0.73%), and fruit weight per hectare (22.57 tons ha-1).
