Indonesian Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menentukan profil kualitas air, struktur komunitas makrozoobentos dan preferensinya terhadap perakaran beberapa jenis hidromakrofita ditanam di saluran irigasi buatan. Penelitian dilakukan di Dusun Pucangsongo, Kec. Pakis, Kab. Malang. Jenis penelitian adalah ex post facto. Penentuan lokasi sampling berdasarkan perbedaan jenis hidromakrofita, yaitu Fimbristylis globulosa, Vetiveria zizanoides, Acorus calamus, Scirpus grossus, dan Typha angustifolia. Pengambilan sampel dengan handnet dilakukan pada 15 titik di substrat dekat perakaran hidromakrofita terpilih. Kualitas air yang diukur adalah pH, suhu, konduktivitas, dan turbiditas yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil identifikasi dan penghitungan makrozoobentos digunakan untuk penentuan struktur komunitas meliputi Indeks Nilai Penting (INP), indeks diversitas Shannon-Wienner (Hi), indeks dominansi Simpson (Id), indeks Evenness (E) dan Family Biotic Index (FBI). Preferensi makrozoobentos terhadap perakaran hidromakrofita ditentukan melalui analisis biplot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua parameter kualitas air yang diamati tidak berbeda nyata antar lokasi pengambilan sampel terpilih. Makrozoobentos jenis Gyraulus convexiusculus, Lymnaea rubiginosa, dan Chironomidae ditemukan di perakaran kelima tanaman. Keanekaragaman makrozoobentos paling tinggi pada perakaran tanaman T. angustifolia sebesar 2,9 dan paling rendah pada tanaman V. zizanoides sebesar 1,5. Substrat sekitar perakaran T. angustifolia lebih disukai berbagai Gastropoda dan Ephemeroptera. Sekitar perakaran S. grossus dan F. globulosa banyak dijumpai Planaria, Tubificidae dan Lestidae, sedangkan di V. zizanoides dan A. Calamus banyak ditemukan Chironomidae dan Corixidae.

English Abstract

The study aimed to determine the water quality profile, the macrozoobenthic community structure and its preference for roots of several types hydromacrophytes planted in artificial irrigation channels.The study was conducted in Pucangsongo, Pakis, Malang Regency. The type of research is ex post facto. Determination of sampling location based on differences in types of hydromachrophytes namely Fimbristylis globulosa, Vetiveria zizanoides, Acorus calamus, Scirpus grossus, and Typha angustifolia. Sampling with handnet was carried out at 15 points on the substrate near the selected hydromachrophyte roots. Water quality is carried out by measuring pH, temperature, conductivity, and turbidity then analyzed descriptively statistically. The results of identification and macrozoobenthic calculations used to determine community structure include Important Value Index (INP), Shannon-Wienner (Hi) diversity index, Simpson dominance index (Id), Evenness index (E) and Family Biotic Index (FBI). The macrozoobenthic preference for hydromacrophyte roots was determined through biplot analysis. The results showed that all water quality parameters observed were not significantly different between selected sampling locations. Macrozoobenthic of Gyraulus convexiusculus, Lymnaea rubiginosa., and Chironomidae wre found in the fifth root of plants. The highest diversity of macrozoobenthic in the roots of T. angustifolia was 2.9 and the lowest in V. zizanoides was 1.5. Substrates around the roots of T. angustifolia was preferred by various Gastropods and Ephemeroptera. Around of the roots S. grossus and F. globulosa were preferred by various of Planaria, Tubificidae and Lestidae, whereas in V. zizanoides and A. Calamus there were many Chironomidae and Corixidae
