Asniar, Sisvika (2019) Hubungan Asupan Energi Dan Protein Dengan Persen Lemak Tubuh Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Arjuno Kota Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

English Abstract

Energy and protein intake in the body if not used as a source of energy is stored in the form of fat so that it will increase body fat percent. Body fat percent is an indicator of nutritional status that describes the composition of fat in the body that can be used as glycemic control of type 2 DM. This study aims to determine the relationship between energy and protein intake with body fat percent. Analytical observational study with cross sectional design, sampling using purposive sampling a number of 55 respondent diagnosed type 2 diabetes and 35-59 years old. Energy and protein intake data were collected using the estimated food record method for five days, and body fat percent collected using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. Statistical test with the spearman test. The median value of energy sufficiency was 73% (43.54-149.45), protein adequacy was 10.25% (6.52-20.95) and mean of body fat percent was 32%±6.268. The results of statistical tests showed no correlation between energy intake and body fat percent of respondents with p=0.1460 (p> 0.05), and there was no correlation between protein and percent body fat of respondents with p = 0.089 (p> 0.05). The conclusion of this study there is no correlation between energy and protein intake with body fat percent in type 2 diabetes subject.
