Indonesian Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah base transceiver station (BTS) di Indonesia tidak terlepas dari meningkatnya pelanggan seluler. Karena keterbatasan bandwidth yang ada, teknologi 4G/LTE hadir untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Kota Malang sudah ada 278 menara dan diantaranya masih digunakan secara tunggal dan tidak terpakai. Supaya penggunaan ruang lebih efektif dan efisien, menara di Kota Malang harus digunakan secara bersama. Penentuan lokasi menara BTS sangat penting, sebelum menentukan lokasi dilakukan perhitungan banyak penduduk Kota Malang pada tahun 2020, banyak pengguna seluler Kota Malang, trafik, analisis coverage dan capacity untuk menentukan jumlah kebutuhan eNodeB. Maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perencanan lokasi menara bersama. Software yang digunakan untuk menentukan lokasi menara BTS yaitu menggunakan ArcGIS. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi lokasi menara bersama di Kota Malang. Berdasarkan analisis capacity dan coverage dibutuhkan 117 menara bersama. Penentuan lokasi menara bersama tersebut dipilih berdasarkan kebutuhan di setiap kecamatan di Kota Malang.

English Abstract

The increasing number of base transceiver stations (BTS) in Indonesia is inseparable from the increase in cellular customers. Due to existing bandwidth limitations, 4G / LTE technology is here to meet user needs. Malang has 278 towers and among them is still used singly and unused. In order to make use of space more effective and efficient, towers in Malang must be used together. Determining the location of BTS towers is very important, before determining the location of the calculation of many residents of Malang in 2020, the number of Malang mobile users, traffic, analysis of coverage and capacity to determine the number of eNodeB needs. So in this study a joint tower location was planned. The software used to determine the location of BTS towers is to use ArcGIS. The results of this study are recommendations for the location of joint towers in Malang. Based on the analysis of capacity and coverage, 117 towers are needed. The location of the joint tower was chosen based on needs in each sub-district in Malang.
