Abstract
Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) merupakan salah satu kegiatan akademik yang wajib dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) dalam menyelesaikan studinya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menyinkronkan antara pendidikan akademik kampus dengan penguasaan hardskill dan softskill mahasiswa dalam bentuk interaksi langsung dengan masyarakat dan dunia kerja. Sehingga dengan PKL mahasiswa mendapatkan pengalaman nyata yang tidak diajarkan didalam kampus serta mampu meningkatkan kompetensi dan keahlian yang relevan. Untuk melaksanakan PKL, terdapat prosedur yang harus dilakukan dan prosedur tersebut terbagi menjadi 3 fase, yaitu pendaftaran, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Dalam pelaksanaan prosedur PKL tersebut, terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi. Dari perspektif mahasiswa, masalah yang timbul antara lain banyaknya form fisik yang harus diurus dan alur pengajuan PKL yang cukup panjang. Permasalahan dosen sebagai pembimbing PKL adalah saat proses pengawasan mahasiswa bimbingannya. Sementara permasalahan staf akademik adalah memastikan apakah pelaksanaan PKL telah berjalan sesuai dengan prosedurnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk membangun sistem yang mampu memfasilitasi penerapan prosedur PKL agar memberikan kemudahan dalam proses pelaksanaannya. Dalam proses rekayasa kebutuhan, didapatkan 59 kebutuhan fungsional dan 1 kebutuhan non fungsional. Tahap selanjutnya adalah melakukan perancangan dan implementasi. Sistem ini diimpelementasikan menjadi aplikasi berbasis web yang dibangun menggunakan bahasa PHP, HTML, CSS dan JavaScript dengan bantuan kerangka kerja Laravel. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian terhadap sistem. Sistem ini telah berhasil diuji dengan pengujian unit, pengujian integrasi dan pengujian validasi dengan hasil 100% valid untuk semua pengujian, dan pengujian compatibility dengan hasil sistem dapat berjalan pada 5 browser uji yang berbeda.
English Abstract
Field Work Practice (PKL) is one of academic activities that must be carried out by students of Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) in completing their studies. The purpose of this activity is to synchronize between campus academic education with students’ mastery of hard skills and soft skills in the form of direct interaction with community and working world. So that with PKL students will get real experience that is not taught on campus and able to improve competencies and relevant expertise. In order to do PKL, procedures must be carried out and it is divided into 3 phases, namely registration, implementation, and reporting. In implementing the PKL procedure, there are several problems faced. From students' perspective, the problems include too many physical forms that must be handled and a quite long path of submitting PKL. The PKL's lecturer supervisors problem was during the supervision process of his student. While the problem of academic staff is make sure whether the PKL has held according to the procedures. Based on the problem discussed, this research is held to develop the system that can facilitate the implementation of PKL procedures in order to provide simplicity during the process. In requirement engineering process, there were 59 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement obtained. Then do the preparation and implementation phases. This system is implemented into a web-based application that is built using the programming languages PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript by using the Laravel framework. Then the system is tested. This system has been successfully tested with unit testing, integration testing and validation testing with 100% valid results for all tests, and compatibility testing with the results of the system can run on 5 different test browsers
