Indonesian Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengkarakteristik reservoir daerah eksplorasi migas, yang terletak di Laut Arafura bagian selatan, Kabupaten Merauke, Provinsi Papua. Laut Arafura adalah daerah yang terletak antara Papua dan bagian dari kontinen Australia, dengan luas cekungan 134200 km2. Salah satu reservoir pada Laut Arafura terdapat pada Sekuen Kembelangan, yang menjadi target dalam penelitian ini. Karakterisasi reservoir pada daerah eksplorasi migas dilakukan dengan memetakan nilai impedansi akustik menggunakan metode inversi berbasis model; serta pembuatan peta persebaran properti reservoir berupa, gamma ray, densitas, dan porositas menggunakan metode multiatribut seismik. Tahap penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pengikatan data sumur dengan data seismik, prediksi log porositas, perhitungan log impedansi akustik dari data sumur, interpretasi data seismik 2D, inversi berbasis model, serta analisa properti reservoir multiatribut. Berdasarkan peta hasil persebaran properti reservoir, daerah yang berpotensi untuk pengembangan sumur selanjutnya, memiliki nilai impedansi akustik rendah berkisar antara 6000 (m/s) (g/cc) - 12000 (m/s) (g/cc). Daerah reservoir mengarah ke arah barat laut, yang diindikasikan sebagai daerah porous dengan nilai densitas sebesar 1,8 g/cc – 2,2 g/cc, nilai gamma ray yang relatif rendah di bawah 50 API, serta nilai porositas sebesar 24 % - 31 %. Diduga litologi pada daerah reservoir hidrokarbon tersebut berupa batupasir.

English Abstract

Research has been carried out, in order to characterize the reservoir of oil and gas exploration areas, which are located in the Southern part of Arafura Sea, Merauke Regency, Papua Province. The Arafura Sea is an area located between Papua continent and part of the Australian continent, with a basin area of 134200 km2. One of the reservoirs in the Arafura Sea, is in the Kembelangan Sequence, which was targeted in this study. Characterization of reservoirs in the oil and gas exploration area, is carried out by mapping the acoustic impedance values using model-based inversion methods; and by the making of a reservoir property distribution map, in the form of gamma ray, density and porosity using the multi-attribute seismic method. The research stages is the binding of well data with seismic data, porosity log prediction, acoustic log impedance calculation from well data, 2D seismic data interpretation, model-based inversion, and analysis of multi-attribute reservoir properties. Based on the map of the results of reservoir property distribution, areas that have the potential for drilling new wells, are those with low acoustic impedance values, ranging from 6000 (m/s)(g/cc) - 12000 (m/s)(g/cc). The reservoir area leads to the northwest, which is indicated as a porous area with a density value of 1.8 g/cc - 2.2 g/cc, a relatively low gamma ray value below 50 APIs, and porosity values of 24% - 31%. It is suspected that lithology in the hydrocarbon reservoir area is in the form of sandstones
