Indonesian Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan reaksi HDO terhadap senyawa fenol dengan katalis SiO2-ZrO2 dan Ni/SiO2-ZrO2. Katalis disiapkan melalui metode impregnasi basah. Sintesis SiO2-ZrO2 dilakukan dengan mencampurkan garam Na2SiO3 dan garam ZrOCl2.8H2O dalam kondisi basa, diaduk selama 24 jam, disaring, dikeringkan, dikalsinasi dan reduksi. Katalis SiO2-ZrO2 yang dihasilkan kemudian diimpregnasi logam Ni dengan kadar 10% dan 15% dari garam Ni(NO3)2.6H2O, dikalsinasi dan direduksi. Katalis yang dihasilkan dianalisis dengan XRD dan XRF. Reaksi HDO dilakukan dengan cara mereaksikan fenol dengan katalis SiO2-ZrO2, 10Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 dan 15Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 di dalam autoclave batch reactor dengan aliran gas H2. Temperatur reaksi divariasikan pada 150°C dan 200°C. Analisis FT-IR terhadap hasil reaksi HDO menggunakan katalis 15Ni/SiO2- ZrO2 pada temperatur 150°C menunjukkan munculnya puncak spesifik C=O pada bilangan gelombang 1698 cm-1. Analisis GC-MS menunjukkan terbentuknya produk sikloheksanon dengan konversi 6,914% dan selektivitas sebesar 100%.

English Abstract

In this research, HDO reaction of phenol compounds was performed over SiO2-ZrO2 and Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 catalysts. The catalyst is prepared by wet impregnation method. The synthesis of SiO2-ZrO2 was carried out by mixing the Na2SiO3 and ZrOCl2.8H2O under basic conditions, stirring for 24 hours, filtered, dried, calcined and reduced. The resulting SiO2-ZrO2 catalyst was then impregnated with Ni content of 10% and 15% Ni(NO3)2.6H2O salt, calcined and reduced. The resulting catalyst was analyzed by XRD and XRF. The HDO reaction is carried out by reacting the phenol with SiO2-ZrO2, 10Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 and 15Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 catalyst in an autoclave batch reactor with a flow of H2 gas. The reaction temperature was varied at 150°C and 200°C. FT-IR analysis of HDO reaction results using a 15Ni/SiO2-ZrO2 catalyst at a temperature of 150°C indicates the appearance of a specific peak of C=O at 1698 cm-1. GC-MS analysis showed the formation of cyclohexanone product with conversion of 6.914% and selectivity up to 100%.
