Indonesian Abstract

Luka insisi merupakan terputusnya kontinuitas suatu jaringan karena adanya pembedahan, dan terkena benda tajam. Kulit buah naga yang digunakan sebagai terapi penyembuhan luka memiliki kemampuan sebagai antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak kulit buah naga secara topikal terhadap peningkatan jumlah VEGF (Vascular endhothelial growth factor) serta peningkatan jumlah IL-10 (Interleukin 10) dalam penyembuhan luka insisi. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hewan model menggunakan tikus (Rattus norvegicus) jantan strain wistar berumur 8-12 minggu. Berat badan tikus antara 150-250 gram yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok kontrol negatif (sehat), kontrol positif (sakit), kelompok perlakuan menggunakan salep ekstrak kulit buah naga dengan konsentrasi bertingkat 5%, 10%, dan 15% pada daerah luka insisi dan diberikan dua kali sehari selama 6 hari. Pengamatan VEGF dan IL-10 dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan SPSS for Windows dengan analisis statistik ragam one way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian salep ekstrak kulit buah naga dengan konsentrasi 10% dapat meningkatkan kadar jumlah VEGF dan salep ekstrak kulit buah naga dengan konsentrasi 5% yang dapat meningkatkan kadar jumlah IL-10 pada tikus yang diinsisi pada daerah punggung (dorsal). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah salep ekstrak kulit buah naga dapat digunakan sebagai terapi luka insisi pada tikus.

English Abstract

The incision is interruption of continuity of the network for their surgery, and exposed sharp objects. Dragon fruit skin is used as a wound healing therapy because it has the ability as an anti-inflammatory. This study aimed to determine the effect of dragon fruit skin extracts (hylicereus costaricensis) topically to the increase in the amount of VEGF (Vascular endhothelial growth factors) as well as an increase in the number of IL-10 (interleukin 10) in the healing of the incision. This study was an experimental study with completely randomized design. Animal model using rats (Rattus norvegicus) Strain wistar males aged 8-12 weeks. Rats body weight between 150-250 grams were divided into five groups of rats were used in this research were negative control group (healthy), positive control (sick), the group treatment or ointment therapy dragon fruit skin extracts with graded concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15% in the area of the incision and is given twice a day for 6 days. Observation of VEGF and IL-10 were analyzed quantitatively using SPSS for Windows statistical analysis of variance with one-way ANOVA and Tukey test advanced test α = 0.05. The results showed that therapy of dragon fruit peel extract ointment with a concentration of 10% can increase the levels of VEGF and therapy of dragon fruit peel extract ointment with a concentration of 5% can increase the levels of IL-10 in rats incision in the hip area (dorsal). It can be concluded that dragon fruit peel extract ointment can be used as a therapy incision in rats.
