Indonesian Abstract

Usahatani sayuran organik dalam sepuluh tahun ke depan dinyatakan sangat prospektif. Berbeda dengan kegiatan usahatani yang menjanjikan, potensi pasar produk organik, khususnya sayuran organik, di Indonesia masih memiliki beberapa kendala. Masyarakat menganggap harga sayuran organik terlalu mahal. Presespsi tersebut membuat produsen harus menetapkan harga jual sesuai dengan rata-rata kesediaan membayar konsumen. Analisis kesediaan membayar (Willingness to Pay) dilakukan untuk menganalisis faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi kesediaan membayar. Pendekatan penelitan ini adalah kuantitatif dan analisis statistik deskriptif. Perhitungan nilai rata-rata maksimum WTP menggunakan metode CVM (Contingent Valuatin Method). Analisis korelasi digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik konsumen dengan nilai WTP dan penentuan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesediaan membayar dianalisis dengan regresi logistik (logit). Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Dadaprejo, Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu. Hasil penelitian dari 100 responden, 46 menyatakan bersedia membayar lebih untuk sayuran organik sedangkan 54 lainnya tidak bersedia. Karakteristik pendapatan, tingkat pendidikan, dan penilaian kualitas berhubungan kuat positif terhadap nilai WTP sedangkan usia justru berubungan kuat negatif. Faktor-faktor yang secara parsial mempengaruhi kesediaan membeli sayuran organik produksi Kelompok Wanita Tani Dewi Sri adalah pendapatan dan kepedulian terhadap produk dari penilaian aspek kognitif

English Abstract

Organic vegetable farming within the next ten years is considered highly prospective. In the other hand, the market potential of organic products, especially organic vegetables, is still facing some problems. People still consider the price of organic vegetables too expensive. The preceptions make producers have to set the selling price in accordance with the maximum average value of willingness to pay consumers. Willingness to Pay (WTP) analysis is also done by analyze factors influencing the willingness to pay. This research was used quantitative approach and descriptive statistical analysis. Calculation of the maximum average value of willingness to pay (WTP) used CVM (Contingent Valuatin Method). While correlation analysis is used to determine the relationship between consumer characteristics with the value of WTP and determination of factors that influencing willingness to pay was analyzed by logistic regression (logit). The research was conducted in Dadaprejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. Result showed from 100 respondents, 46 states are willing to pay more for organic vegetables while 54 others are not. Characteristic of income, education level, and quality assessment have strenght positive effect on WTP value, while age have strenght negative effect. Factors that partially influencing the willingness to buy organic vegetables Production Women's Farmer Group Dewi Sri is the income and concern for the product from rating the cognitive aspects
