Indonesian Abstract

Plasma sangat penting dalam perkembangan teknologi karena plasma digunakan di banyak perangkat elektronik seperti global positioning system (GPS). Plasma fusi dan proses plasma membutuhkan unsur-unsur penting, yaitu, distribusi energi elektron. Namun, plasma cahaya adalah bidang penelitian yang relatif baru dalam fisika. Belum ditemukan penelitian tentang model plasma listrik sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari model plasma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dua masalah penelitian: (1) Bagaimana tegangan generator plasma mempengaruhi arus dan (2) bagaimana memprediksi arus dengan menggunakan model rangkaian listrik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia di Fakultas MIPA. Eksplorasi ini dimulai pada pertengahan Juni 2013. Pengumpulan data dan analisis data dilakukan selama satu tahun sampai Agustus 2014. Dalam penelitian ini, karakteristik plasma dipelajari dengan membangun model plasma. Analysis dilakukan dengan menggunakan program MATLAB yang menghitung perubahan tegangan dan arus. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi histerisis dalam perubahan tegangan dan arus yang disebabkan oleh kinetic gas argon dalam plasma. Impuls arus yang terjadi diserap oleh perilaku kapasitif dari susunan elektroda plasma. Perbedaan yang muncul kemungkinan dikarenakan asumsi penyederhanaan yang dipertimbangkan dalam model ini.

English Abstract

Plasma is very important in development of technology as it is applied in many production and manufactories of electronic devices. In addition, fusion and process of plasma requires important conditions namely, electron energy distribution. re have been a number of studies on electric plasma modeling. However, model need to be modified and developed to accommodate a specific plasma system. Thus, this study was aimed to study plasma modeling for a low frequency (40 kHz) plasma system. re were two research problems: (1) How input voltage influence current of plasma (2) How to predict current using electrical equivalent circuit. This research was conducted at Brawijaya University, Malang, Indonesia in Faculty of Science. This exploration began in middle of June 2013. data collection and data analysis were done during a year around until August 2014. In this research, characteristics of plasma were studied by a model of plasma. It utilized MATLAB program, by means of electrical circuit examination framework which result in behavior of voltage and current. findings show that model predict hysteresis which causes by kinetics of argon gas in plasma. high impulses sheath current is absorbed by capacitive behavior of electrode arrangement. differences appearing are probably due to simplifying assumptions considered in present model.
