Abstract
TOPSIS merupakan salah satu metode pengambilan keputusan multikriteria yang berkonsep pada pemilihan alternatif terbaik berdasarkan jarak terdekat dari solusi ideal positif dan jarak terjauh dari solusi ideal negatif. Solusi ideal positif adalah nilai maksimal yang dapat dicapai untuk kriteria keuntungan dan nilai minimal yang dapat dicapai untuk kriteria biaya, sedangkan solusi ideal negatif adalah nilai maksimal yang dapat dicapai untuk kriteria biaya dan nilai minimal yang dapat dicapai untuk kriteria keuntungan. Selain itu, nilai preferensi tertinggi dari suatu alternatif juga menjadi dasar untuk memilih alternatif terbaik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan metode TOPSIS yang dapat membantu bagian kemahasiswaan dalam menentukan rekomendasi penerimaan beasiswa di Universitas Brawijaya Malang dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Ada 3 kriteria yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kriteria IPK, penghasilan orang tua, dan semester. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hasil urutan prioritas mahasiswa yang direkomendasikan untuk menerima beasiswa BBM yaitu pendaftar ke-47, 24, 29, 33, 4, 32, 6, 21, 17, 34, 39, 9, 18, 25, 41, 42, 45, 46, 48, 49, 13, 1, 7 dan 27 karena memiliki nilai preferensi tertinggi di antara alternatif lainnya yaitu > 0,5. Sedangkan, hasil urutan prioritas mahasiswa yang direkomendasikan untuk menerima beasiswa PPA Akademik adalah pendaftar ke-19, 14, 10, 36, 42, 44, 6, 26, 27, 37, 41, 49, 28, 48, 29, 2, 24, 17, 16, 34, 43, 50, 13, 11, 12, 23, 31, 3, 15, 4, 22, 33, 9, 35, 38, 9, 8, 32, 25, dan 1 karena memiliki nilai preferensi tertinggi di antara alternatif lainnya yaitu > 0,5.
English Abstract
TOPSIS is one of multi-criteria decision making methods which focuses on the best alternative selection based on the closest value of positive ideal solution and the farthest value of negative ideal solution. Positive ideal solution is the maximum value reached by profit criteria, and the minimum value reached by fee criteria. Meanwhile, negative ideal solution is the minimum value upon fee criteria, and the maximum value upon profit criteria. Besides, the highest preference value of one alternative becomes the basis of selecting the best alternative. This research aims to apply TOPSIS method which can help student’s affairs in deciding the recommended scholarship grantees in Universitas Brawijaya Malang by considering some criteria which have been set. There are three criteria used in this research, they are cumulative grade point average, parent’s income, and semester. The result of this research shows that the 47th, 24th, 29th, 33rd, 4th, 32nd, 6th, 21st, 17th, 34th, 39th, 9th, 18th, 25th, 41st, 42nd, 45th, 46th, 48th, 49th, 13th, 1st, 7th and 27th applicants become the priority of the recommended scholarship grantees within Bantuan Belajar Mahasiswa (BBM) category. They are recommended since they have the highest preference values among another alternative. The values denote > 0.5. Whereas, the 19th, 14th, 10th, 36th, 42nd, 44th, 6th, 26th, 27th, 37th, 41st, 49th, 28th, 48th, 29th, 2nd, 24th, 17th, 16th, 34th, 43rd, 50th, 13th, 11th, 12th, 23rd, 31st, 3rd,15th, 4th, 22nd, 33rd, 9th, 35th, 38th, 9th, 8th, 32nd, 25th, and 1st applicants become the recommended scholarship grantees within Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik (PPA) category. They are recommended as they have the highest preference values compared to other alternatives. The values point out > 0.5.
