Indonesian Abstract

Tanaman Padi (Oryza sativa) mempunyai peranan penting dalam menunjang ketahanan pangan di Indonesia. Hingga saat ini upaya peningkatan produktivitas padi masih terus dilakukan melalui intensifikasi pertanian dengan penggunaan varietas unggul dan ditunjang pemupukan. Penggunaan pupuk majemuk NPK untuk penanaman padi di kalangan petani dinilai lebih praktis dan efisien dibandingkan dengan pupuk tunggal karena dalam tiap butiran telah mengandung tiga unsur N, P, dan K yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman. Selain unsur hara esensial N, P, dan K, tanaman juga membutuhkan unsur hara fungsional Si untuk tanaman padi. Unsur Si dapat mendukung pertumbuhan yang sehat dan menghindarkan tanaman dari serangan penyakit dan cekaman suhu, radiasi matahari, serta defisiensi dan keracunan unsur hara. Dengan demikian pemupukan berimbang spesifik lokasi perlu diterapkan agar tanaman dapat tumbuh optimal. Dalam kaitannya dengan kebutuhan tanaman padi akan unsur hara esensial N, P, K dan unsur hara fungsional Si serta hubungan antara unsur N, P, K dengan unsur Si maka dilakukan penelitian mengenai kajian aplikasi pupuk majemuk NPK 15- 15-15 terhadap serapan silika, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengkaji aplikasi berbagai dosis pupuk majemuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi dan (2) Mengkaji aplikasi berbagai dosis pupuk majemuk NPK terhadap serapan silika tanaman padi pada Ultisols Bogor. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Dukuh, Kecamatan Cibungbulang, Kabupaten Bogor pada bulan Mei - Oktober 2013. Parameter pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, berat kering jerami, berat kering gabah, kadar dan serapan Si tanaman, serta residu Si pada tanah. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari Kontrol (tanpa pemupukan), pupuk standar rekomendasi Balitan (250 kg ha-1 Urea + 75 kg-1 SP-36 + 50 kg-1 KCl), 5 dosis pupuk NPK Pelangi 15-15-15 terdiri dari 150 kg ha-1; 300 kg ha-1; 450 kg ha-1; 600 kg ha-1 dan 750 kg ha-1, pupuk NPK Pelangi setara pupuk standar (200 kg ha-1 NPK Pelangi + 185 kg ha-1 Urea) dan pupuk NPK pelangi 300 kg ha-1 + pupuk kandang ayam 1 t ha-1. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan apabila uji F 5% nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berbagai dosis pupuk majemuk NPK memberikan pengaruh nyata meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan produksi padi. Produksi tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan P9 dengan aplikasi 300 kg ha-1 NPK Pelangi + 1 t ha-1 pupuk kandang ayam yaitu sebesar 5,23 t ha-1 dengan peningkatan produksi sebesar 31,47% dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Serapan Si pada jerami dan gabah tertinggi berturut-turut didapatkan pada perlakuan P8 dengan aplikasi NPK Pelangi 200 kg ha-1 + 185 kg ha-1 dan perlakuan P9 dengan aplikasi NPK Pelangi 300 kg ha-1 + pupuk kandang ayam 1 t ha-1 masing-masing sebesar 61,23 g Si tan-1 dan 51,57 g Si tan-1

English Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa) has an important role for supporting food security in Indonesia. Government has been increasing rice productivity by agricultural intensification with improved varieties and fertilizers supported. Application of NPK compound fertilizer for rice is more practical and efficient than a single fertilizer because in each granule of NPK compound fertilizer has contained N, P, and K nutrients that required by plant. Besides essential nutrients N, P, and K, plants also need Si as a functional nutrients for rice. Si nutrients can support healthy growth and prevent plants from disease attack and temperature stress, solar radiation, and nutrient deficiency and poisoning. Thus, location-specific and balanced fertilization needs to be applied for optimum plant growth. Needed of rice for essential nutrients N, P, K and Si as functional nutrients also the relationship between the elements of N, P, K with the element Si then the research was conducted to analyze NPK 15-15-15 compound fertilizer application to silica uptake, growth and yield of rice. The purpose of this research are (1) To analyze the application of various doses of NPK compound fertilizer for growth and yield of rice crops and (2) to analyze the application of various doses of NPK compound fertilizer for silica uptake of rice in Ultisols Bogor The research was conducted in Dukuh, Cibungbulang, Bogor from May to October 2013. Observation parameters included plant height, number of tillers, dry weight of straw, dry weight of grain, Si content and absorption, and Si residue on soil. The experimental design used in this study was Randomized Block Design with 9 treatments and 3 replication. The treatment consisted of Control (without fertilization), standard fertilizer recommended by Balitan (250 kg ha-1 Urea + 75 kg-1 SP-36 + 50 kg-1 KCl), 5 doses of NPK Pelangi fertilizer consist of 150 kg ha-1; 300 kg ha-1; 450 kg ha-1; 600 kg ha-1 and 750 kg ha-1, NPK Pelangi equal to standard fertilizer (200 kg ha-1 NPK Pelangi + 185 kg ha-1 Urea) and NPK Pelangi 300 kg ha-1 + 1 t ha-1. The data obtained will be analyzed to determine the effect of the treatment and in the advanced test using duncan test. The results showed that application of various doses of NPK compound fertilizers gave a significant effect of increasing plant height, number of tillers and production. The highest production was obtained in P9 treatment with 300 kg ha-1 NPK Pelangi + 1 t ha-1 chicken manure that have 5,23 t ha-1 grain yield with production increase 31,47% compared to control. The highest Si uptake on straw and grain was obtained in P8 treatment with application of NPK Pelangi 200 kg ha-1 + 185 kg ha-1 and P9 treatment with application of NPK Pelangi 300 kg ha-1 + chicken manure 1 t ha-1 that have Si uptake 61,23 g Si plant-1 and 51,57 g Si plant-1
