Abstract
Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo pada bulan November 2015- Januari 2016. Penentuan lokasi dan sampel penelitian secara purpose sampling. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui penampilan reproduksi sapi potong betina akseptor Inseminasi Buatan (IB) di Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo Provinsi Jawa Tengah yang meliputi Service per Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Calving Interval (CI), dan Days Open (DO). Penelitian ini di harapkan dapat berguna sebagai sumber informasi untuk reproduksi, serta dasar peningkatan reproduksi induk sapi potong di Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sapi Simpo 38 ekor dan Limpo 41 ekor yang diambil berdasarkan tempat kerja inseminator dilokasi penelitian dengan ciri ternak yang sudah ditentukan. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus . analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji-t tidak berpasangan. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan dan wawancara langsung dengan peternak menggunakan daftar pertanyaan kuisioner, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari petugas inseminator di Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Hasil penelitian, S/C pada sapi Simpo dan Limpo memiliki rata-rata sebesar 1,12±0,33 kali; dan Limpo 1,21±0,41 kali, CR rata-rata Simpo dan Limpo sebesar 80% dan 79%, CI pada Simpo dan Limpo memiliki rata-rata sebesar 401,49±21,72 hari dan Limpo 411,11±24,64 vii hari, dan DO pada Simpo dan Limpo memiliki rata-rata sebesar Simpo 151,82±17,84hari dan Limpo 143,17±22,28 hari. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada S/C,CR dan CI terhadap penampilan reproduksi sapi Simpo dan Limpo di Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Sedangkan rataan nilai DO mempunyai perbedaan yang nyata antara sapi Simpo dan Limpo terhadap penampilan reproduksi, dimana nilai rataan DO pada sapi Simpo cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan sapi Limpo dengan perbandingan persentase 5,7 % sehingga DO Limpo lebih baik dari pada DO Simpo. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peternak disarankan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi reproduksi pada induk sapi Simpo dan Limpo, peternak diharapkan memperhatikan manajemen pemeliharaan seperti deteksi berahi yang tepat, serta waktu mengawinkan ternak yang tepat supaya CI dan DO dapat diperpendek.
English Abstract
The objective of this research was to know the reproduction performance of Simpo and Limpo which mated by artificial insemination cattle as measured by Service per Conception ( S/C), Conception Rate (CR), Days Open (DO) and Calving Interval (CI). The research out comes can be used as input and evaluation for breeders in order to improve the production performance of Simpo and Limpo in sub-district Mojolaban, Sukoharjo District. The material used were 38 heads Simpo and 41 heads Limpo female beef cattle. The method used was a case study. The analysis used was unpaired t-test analysis. The results showed that the average value of S/C Simpo 1.12±0.33; and Limpo 1.21±0.41. The average of CR Simpo 80% and Limpo 79%; while the average of CI Simpo 401.49±21.72 days and Limpo 411.11±24.64 days; while DO Simpo 151.82±17.84 days and Limpo 143.17±22.28 days. It can be concluded that there was no significant difference of reproduction performance of Simpo cattle and Limpo. While the average value of the DO have the real difference between a cow Simpo and Limpo on reproductive performance, where the average value of DO in cattle Simpo higher than cow Limpo. Where the percentage ratio 5.7% vi between a cow Simpo and Limpo higher than DO Simpo in sub-district Mojolaban, Sukoharjo District.
