Indonesian Abstract

Tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan tanaman pangan penting yang telah menjadi makanan pokok lebih dari setengah penduduk dunia. Indonesia sebagai negara dengan jumlah penduduk yang besar menghadapi tantangan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan penduduk. Pada tahun 2014, Badan Pusat Stastika (BPS) memprediksi jika produksi pada angka ramalan mencapai 69,87 juta ton gabah kering giling (GKG) atau mengalami penurunan dibandingkan tahun 2013 yaitu sebesar 1,98 persen atau 1,41 juta ton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil tanaman padi dengan jarak tanam tanam dan jumlah bibit yang tepat pada tanaman padi varietas PP3. Kombinasi jarak tanam dan penggunaan jumlah bibit pada tanaman padi untuk penigkatan produksi tanaman padi (Oriza sativa L.) varietas PP3. Hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah denganjarak tanam 30 x 30 cm dan beberapajumlah bibit akan meningkatkan produksi tanaman padi varietas PP3. Penelitian akan dilaksankan di lahan pada bulan Maret-Juni 2015 yangdilaksanakan pada ketinggian 6-91 meter di atas permukaan laut. Suhu rata-rata pertahun di Desa Sladi Kecamatan Kejayan Kabupaten Pasuruan Jawa Timurberkisar 26,50C.Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah traktor, cangkul, timbangan analitik, handsprayer, rol meter, rafia, Leaf Area Meter (LAM), camera digital merk Nikkon coolpix s3500 20,1 mega pixel , kertas label, plastik, oven, amplop, alfa board, dan alat tulis. Bahan yang digunakan adalah benih padi hibrida PP3, pupuk kompos 10kg, pupuk dengan kandungan Urea (46% N), PHONSKA, KCl (60% K2O). Penelitian dengan menggunakan RAKF, yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor yang diujikan adalah jarak tanam dan jumlah bibit per lubang tanam dengan 7 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan, faktor pertama jarak tanam yaitu P1 = jarak tanam 20 cm x 20 cm, P2 = jarak tanam 25 cm x 25 cm, P3 = jarak tanam 30 cm x 30 cm dan faktor kedua penggunaan jumlah bibit M1 = 1 bibit perlubang, M2 = 2 bibit perlubang, M3 = 3 bibit perlubang, M3 = 4 bibit perlubang. Pengamatan dilakukan secara destruktif dan non destruktif antara lain tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah anakan per rumpun (helai),luas daun, bobot kering total tanaman, Indeks luas daun per rumpun, jumlah malai per rumpun, bobot gabah kering per m2 , berat 1000 butir. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis (uji F) pada taraf 5 %. Jika hasil berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan jarak tanam lebar 30 x 30 cm dan jumlah bibit 1 mampu memberikan hasil produksi yang tinggi yaitu 9,92 ton/ha, atau terjadi peningkatan 2,20 ton/ha bila dibandingkan dengan yang jarak tanam sempit 20 x 20 cm dan jumlah bibit 4/lubang sebesar 7,70 ton/ha, tidak berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, luas daun, jumlah anakan produktif pada semua umur pengamatan namun berpengaruh terhadap indeks luas daun dan bobot kering total tanaman pada umur pengamatan 75 HST.

English Abstract

The plant of paddy field (Oryza sativa L.) is an important food plant that has become the staple food of more than half the worlds population. Indonesia as a country with a large population is facing challenges in fulfillmentof population’s food needs. In 2014, Stastika Central Agency (BPS) predicts if production forecasting is reached 69.87 million tons of milled rice (GKG) or decreased than amount of production at 2013 was 1.98 percent, or 1.41 million tons. The aim of this study was increasing yields of paddy field plant with planting spacing and the exact amount of paddy field seed PP3varieties. Combination of planting spacing and the number of paddy field seedusing are for a progressive production inceasing of paddy field (Oryza sativa L.)PP3varieties. Hypothesis proposed in this study was30 x 30 cm of spacing using and the number of paddy field seeds will increase the production of paddy field PP3varieties. Research has been conducted in the land in March-June 2015 and carried out at a height of 6-91 meters above sea level. Average annual temperature ranges in Sladi Kejayan Village, PasuruanDistrict, East Java is 26.50C. The tools used in this study are tractors, hoes, analytical scales, handsprayer, roller meter, raffia, Leaf Area Meter (LAM), digital camera brands Nikkon 20.1 megapixel Coolpix S3500, label paper, plastics, oven, envelopes, alpha board, and stationery. Materials used are PP3hybrid of paddy field seeds, 10kg compost, fertilizers that containing urea (46% N), Phonska, KCl (60% K2O). This research is using RAKF, which consists of two factors. Factors to be tested is a spacing and number of seeds per planting hole with 7 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatment used were, the first factor is a spacing that is P1 = spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm, P2 = spacing of 25 cm x 25 cm, P3 = spacing of 30 cm x 30 cm and the second factor is t the number of seedlings using M1 = 1 seeds per planting hole, M2 = 2 seeds per planting hole, M3 = 3 seed per planting hole, M3 = 4 seed per planting hole. Observations were conducted by destructive and non-destructive method, with indicplant tor are plant height (cm), number of tillers per hill (strands), leaf area, dry weight of total crop, index leaf area per clump, number of panicles per clump, the weight of dry grain per m2, weight of 1000 grains. Data were analyzed by F test at 5% error rate level. If the results is significantly different then LSD test 5% is used. Results of this study are the spacing using of 30 x 30 cm and the number of seeds 1 able to provide high production yields are respectively 9.92 tons/ha. Production increasing of 2,20 tons/ha compared with planting spacing of 20 x 20 cm and the number of seeds 4 seedsper planting hole7,70 tons/ha, was not give effect on plant height, number of tillers, leaf area, number of productive tillers at all age observations however it affect to the leaf area index and total dry weight of the plant at 75 DAP the age of observations.
