Abstract
Upaya menanam di lahan kritis atau lahan kosong dan lahan tidak produktif dengan jenis tanaman hutan dan jenis tanaman serbaguna merupakan salah satu upaya pemulihan kondisi hutan atau lahan yang kritis. Upaya tersebut juga dapat memberikan hasil berupa kayu, getah, buah, serat, pakan ternak, dan lain sebagainya. Kebun Bibit Rakyat merupakan program pemerintah penyedia bibit berkualitas berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat. Keragaman media yang digunakan sebagai pendukung pertumbuhan bibit KBR merupakan salah satu faktor penunjang keberhasilan pertumbuhan bibit. Komposisi media tanam yang tidak seragam akan memperoleh bibit yang tidak sesuai dengan standarisasi proses rehabilitasi lahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (a) mengetahui keragaman bibit MPTS dari segi morfologi tanaman yang di tanam oleh pengelola KBR, (b) mengetahui keragaman sifat fisik dan kimia yang digunakan sebagai media tanam oleh pengelola KBR dan (c) menganalisis hubungan pertumbuhan bibit terhadap sifat fisik dan kimia tanah dalam media tanaman. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember hingga bulan April 2014 di 36 titik lokasi yang terdapat di 5 kabupaten, yaitu: Trenggalek, Tulungagung, Blitar, Malang dan Kediri. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis laboratorium. Jenis bibit yang dipilih yaitu bibit durian, nangka dan sirsak dengan beberapa variabel pengamatan, diantaranya: tinggi bibit, panjang bibit, lebar tajuk, jumlah daun dan diameter bibit. Pada ketiga jenis bibit di lokasi pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa hasil pertumbuhan memiliki hasil yang beragam dari beberapa parameter pengamatan bibit. Bibit durian yang baik memiliki karakteristik fisik: tekstur lempung liat berpasir, Berat isi 0,69 g/cm-³, penetrasi 1,6 MPa, porositas 68% dan kandungan air tersedia 25%, sedangkan karakteristik kimia: pH 6,6 (netral), N-tersedia 0,06 %, P-tersedia 6 ppm, kalium 2,3 me/100g dan C-organik 1,9 %. Untuk bibit nangka, sifat fisik yang menunjang pertumbuhan bibit memiliki kriteria: tekstur lempung, Berat isi 0,81 g/cm-³, penetrasi 2,4 MPa, porositas 68 % (porous) dan air tersedia 30%. Sedangkan sifat kimia: kisaran pH 6,2, N-tersedia 0,06, P-tersedia 6 ppm, Kalium 0,3 me/100g dan c-organik 1,5 %. Pada bibit sirsak memiliki kriteria sifat fisik: tekstur lempung berpasir, Bi 0,82 g/cm-³, penetrasi 4,6 MPa, porositas total 71 % dan air tersedia 17 % sedangkan karakteristik kimia memiliki kriteria: pH 6,6 (netral), nitrogen 0,07 %, P-tersedia 16 ppm, K-tersedia 0,1 me/100g dan c-organik 1,0 %. Faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan bibit MPTS (Multi Purpose Tree Species) pada lokasi pembibitan KBR (kebun Bbit rakyat) dipengaruhi oleh berat isi, penetrasi akar, porositas tanah, pH tanah, N-total, K-tersedia dan C-organik.
English Abstract
Efforts of planting on degraded land or vacant land and unproductive land with forest plant species and MPTS plant is one attempt recovery of forest or critical land. The efforts are also able to provide results in the form of wood, sap, fruit, fiber, fodder, etc. Kebun Bibit Rakyat is a government program provider of quality seeds with community-based. The diversity of media used in KBR is one of the factors for supporting the success of seedling growth. The composition of the planting medium is not the same as going to obtain seeds that do not conform to the standardization process of rehabilitation. The goals of this research are (a) knowing the diversity in terms of morphology MPTS seed are planted by KBR managers, (b) knowing the diversity of physical and chemical properties that are used as a growing medium by KBR managers and (c) analyze the relationship between the growth of seedlings on soil physical and chemical properties of the medium plant. This research was conducted in December to April 2014 there were 36 point locations in 5 districts, namely: Trenggalek, Tulungagung, Blitar, Malang and Kediri. The method are used survey method followed by laboratory analysis. The selected varieties are the seeds of durian, jackfruit and soursop with some observations of variables, including: high seed, seedling length, crown width, leaf number and diameter of the seed. From three types of seeds at the site indicated that the results of the growth had mixed results of some parameters of seedlings observations. Best durian seedlings have physical characteristics: sandy clay loam texture, weight content of 0.69 g / cm-³, penetration of 1.6 MPa, the porosity of 68% and 25% moisture content is available, while the chemical characteristics: pH 6.6 (neutral), N -available 0.06%, P-available 6 ppm, potassium 2.3 me / 100g and 1.9% C-organic. For jackfruit seeds, physical properties which support the growth of seedlings have criteria: clay texture, weight content of 0.81 g / cm-³, penetration of 2.4 MPa, the porosity of 68% (porous) and water available at 30%. While chemical properties: the range of pH 6.2, N-available 0.06, P-available 6 ppm, potassium 0.3 me / 100g and c-organic 1.5%.In seed soursop has physical properties criteria: sandy loam texture, weight content 0.82 g / cm-³, penetration of 4.6 MPa, a total of 71% porosity and water available 17% while the chemical characteristics have criteria: pH 6.6 (neutral), nitrogen 0.07%, available P 16 ppm, K-available 0.1 me / 100g and c-organic 1.0%. Factors that affect on the growth of seedlings MPTS (Multi Purpose Tree Species) in nurseries KBR (Kebun Bibit Rakyat) is influenced by bulk density, root penetration, soil porosity, soil pH, total-N, K-available and organic C.
