Indonesian Abstract

Kangkung darat merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang sangat diminati di indonesia. Produktivitas kangkung darat dalam negeri masih rendah dikarenakan penerapan teknologi budidaya yang masih bersifat tradisional. Kangkung darat mengandung 29 kalori, 3 g protein,0,30 g lemak, 5,40 g karbohidrat, 73 mg kalsium, 50 mg fosfor, 2,50 mg zat besi, 6300 S.I vitamin A, 0,70 mg vitamin B, 32 mg vitamin C, 89,7 gr air dalam setiap 100 g (Direktorat Gizi Depkes RI, 2009). Tujuan penelitian adalah, 1) Untuk mengetahui interaksi pemberian bio stimulator dan perbedaan jarak tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kangkung darat (Ipomoea reptans Poir). 2) Untuk mengetahui konsentrasi bio stimulator yang sesuai terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kangkung darat (Ipomoea reptans Poir). 3) Untuk mengetahui jarak tanam yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kangkung darat. Hipotesis yang diajukan diduga konsentrasi bio stimulator dan jarak tanam dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman kangkung darat (Ipomoea reptans Poir). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September – Oktober 2013 yang bertempat di Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Berada di ketinggian 600 mdpl, curah hujan rata-rata 2600-3100 mm per tahun, suhu rata-rata harian berkisar antara 24-28˚ C. Metode penelitian menggunakan percobaan factorial yang dirancang dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial, meliputi 2 faktor (diulang 3 kali), yaitu: Faktor I Konsentrasi bio stimulator dengan 4 taraf, yaitu: K0 = tanpa aplikasi bio stimulator, K1 = dengan konsentrasi bio stimulator 10 ml/l, K2 = dengan kosentrasi bio stimulator 20 ml/l, K3 = dengan konsentrasi bio stimulator 30 ml/l. Faktor II jarak tanam dengan 3 taraf yaitu: J1 = 15 x 15 cm, J2 = 15 x 20 cm, J3 = 20 x 20 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi bio stimulator memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan pertumbuhan yang meliputi : panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot segar total tanaman, bobot kering total tanaman dan pada parameter pengamatan panen yang meliputi : berat segar total tanaman/plot, berat segar konsumsi/plot, berat kering total tanaman/plot menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi bio stimulator 30 ml/l (K3) memiliki nilai tertinggi dan perlakuan konsentrasi bio stimulator 0 ml/l (K0) memiliki nilai terendah. Sedangkan untuk perlakuan jarak tanam berpengaruh tidak nyata pada parameter pengamatan pertumbuhan. Namun pada parameter panen perlakuan jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata pada setiap parameter pengamatan, nilai tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan jarak tanam 15 x 15 cm (J1) sedangkan nilai terendah pada saat panen terdapat pada perlakuan dengan jarak tanam 20 x 20 cm (J3). Terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara perlakuan konsentrasi bio stimulator dan jarak tanam pada parameter pengamatan panen yaitu BKTT/Plot konsentrasi 30 ml/l + jarak tanam 15 x 15 cm (K3J1) yaitu sebesar 715,87 g.

English Abstract

Swamp cabbage is one of the horticultural commodity that is in demand in Indonesia. Productivity swamp cabbage in Indonesia is still low due to the application of cultivation technology are still traditional. Each 100 g of swamp cabbage contains 29 calories, 3 g protein, 0.30 g fat, 5.40 g carbohydrate, 73 mg calcium, 50 mg phosphorus, 2.50 mg of iron, vitamin A 6300 SI, 0.70 mg vitamin B, 32 mg vitamin C, 89.7 g of water (Direktorat Gizi Depkes RI, 2009). The purpose of this research are 1) To understand determine the interaction of the application bio stimulator and the different plant spacing on the growth and yield of swamp cabbage (Ipomoea reptans Poir), 2) To understand determine the right concentration of bio stimulator according to the growth and yield of swamp cabbage (Ipomoea reptans Poir), 3) To understand the right plant spacing on the growth and yield of swamp cabbage (Ipomoea reptans Poir). The hypothesis of the research is concentration bio stimulator and plant spacing can increase the growth and yield of swamp cabbage (Ipomoea reptans Poir). This research conducted in September - October 2013, which took place in Dau subdistrict, Malang. Located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, the average rainfall 2600 - 3100 mm per year, the average daily temperature ranges between 24-28 ˚ C. This research use Randomized Block Design (RBD) Factorial, consist of two factors (3 replications). The different concentration of bio stimulator as the first factor with 4 levels are K0 = without application of bio stimulator, K1 = the concentration of bio stimulator 10 ml/l, K2 = concentration of bio stimulator with 20 ml/l, and K3 = a concentration of bio stimulator 30 ml/l. The different plant spacing as the second factor with 3 levels are J1 = 15 x 15 cm, J2 = 15 x 20 cm, and J3 = 20 x 20 cm. Result from this research showed that concentration of bio stimulator related to parameter of growth observation consist : plant height, number of leafes, leafes area, total plant fresh weight, total plant dry weight and parameter of harvest observation consist : total plant fresh weight/plot, total fresh weight consumption/plot, total plant dry weight showed that concentration treatment of bio stimulator 30 ml/l (K3) has highest value and concentration treatment of bio stimulator 0 ml/l (K0) has lowest value. While for treatment of plant spacing not obvious related to parameter of growth observation. However parameter of harvest treatment plant spacing obvious related at each observation parameter, the highest value at treatment of plant spacing 15 x 15 cm (J1) meanwhile the lowest value for harvest at treatment of plant spacing 20 x 20 cm (J3). Found obvius interaction between concentration treatment of bio stimulator and plant spacing at parameter of harvest treatment are BKTT/plot concentration
