Indonesian Abstract

Kacang panjang adalah komoditas sayuran yang diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Produksi kacang panjang setiap tahunnya masih rendah dan kurang stabil. Keragaman lingkungan tumbuh di Indonesia berpengaruh terhadap hasil produksi. Hal tersebut dikarenakan penampilan tanaman sangat dipengaruhi oleh interaksi antara genotip tanaman itu sendiri dan lingkungan tumbuhnya. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah mendapatkan varietas unggul yang diuji pada beberapa lokasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi genotipe dan lingkungan enam galur harapan kacang panjang berpolong ungu yang ditanam di dua lokasi. Hipotesis yang diajukan ialah terdapat interaksi genotipe lingkungan enam galur harapan kacang panjang berpolong ungu yang ditanam di dua lokasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai Juli 2013 di dua lokasi yaitu, lokasi Srigading dengan ketinggian 620 m dpl dan lokasi Sumberporong dengan ketinggian 435 m dpl. Bahan yang digunakan adalah enam galur harapan kacang panjang berpolong ungu hasil penelitian pendahuluan dengan dua pembanding yaitu UBPU1 41, UBPU 1 130, UBPU1 222, UBPU1 365, UBPU2 202, UBPU3 153, varietas Brawijaya 4 dan Bagong 2. Penanaman dilakukan di dua lokasi menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) rancangan tersarang dengan tiga ulangan. Data karakter kualitatif disajikan dalam bentuk statistika deskriptif, sedangkan karakter kuantitatif dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis ragam pada masing-masing lokasi dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis ragam gabungan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi genotipe dan lingkungan yang mempengaruhi masing-masing karakter di kedua lokasi. Jika diperoleh interaksi genotip lingkungan yang nyata maka akan di uji lanjutan dengan BNJ 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi interaksi genotipe lingkungan pada karakter kuantitatif yang meliputi karakter rata-rata bobot polong (g) dan jumlah polong per tanaman. Karakter umur berbunga (hst), umur panen (hst), panjang polong (cm), jumlah biji, total bobot polong per tanaman (g) dan bobot 200 biji (g) menunjukkan interaksi genotipe lingkungan yang tidak nyata Galur terbaik yang sesuai ditanam di lokasi Srigading UBPU1 130. Galur terbaik yang sesuai ditanam di lokasi Sumberporong UBPU1 41, UBPU1 130, UBP3 153.

English Abstract

Yard long bean is a horticultural commodities that is preferred by many people in Indonesia. Productivity of yard long bean is still low and less stable in every years. Variability of environment in Indonesia affects the productivity. It is because the appearance of a plant is highly affected by the interaction between plant genotype and its environment. An effort that is being done is getting a high yielding varieties that is tested in some locations. This research was conducted in order to know the genotype environment interaction in six expexted lines of purple podded yard long bean that was planted in two locations. Hypothesis of this research is there is a genotype x environment interaction in six strains of purple podded yard long bean that was planted in two locations. This research was conducted from March to July 2013 in two locations, they are Srigading with an altitude of 620 above sea level and Sumberporong with an altitude of 435 above sea level. Materials that used iwithn this research are six strains of purple podded yard long bean from preliminary study with two check varieties, namely UBPU1 41, UBPU1 130, UBPU1 222, UBPU 365, UBPU2 202, UBPU3 153, Brawijaya 4, and Bagong 2. Research was conducted in two locations with Randomized Block Design (RBD) Nested Design with three replications. Qualitative data was presented by images, while the quantitative characters was analyzed by the combined variance in every locations and continued with analysis of variance to know the influence of genotype environment interaction in each characters in two locations. If the genotype environment interaction was significant then it would be continued with Honestly Significant 5%. This research showed that the genotype environment interactions in weight per pod (g) and pod number per plant. Flowering time (dap), harvesting time (dap), pod length (cm), seed number, total weight pod per plant and weight 200 seed (g) showed that were not genotipe environment interactions. UBPU1 130 can be planted in Srigading. UBPU1 41, UBPU1 130 and UBPU3 153 can be planted in Sumberporong.
