Indonesian Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pengelolaan tanah sebagai tegalan dan sawah secara terus menerus dalam waktu yang lama terhadap sifat fisik tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli – Desember 2012 di Kecamatan Parengan, Soko, Rangel, Grabagan dan Plumpang Kabupaten Tuban. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialahdengan pengamatan parameter sifat fisik tanah pada penggunaan lahan tegalan dan sawah. Parameter tersebut antara lain : komposisi fraksi pasir, ketebalan solum, berat isi dan berat jenis, porositas dan daya pelulusan air. Pengamatan dilakukan pada jenis tanah yang sama yaitu inseptisol serta dilakukan pengulangan pada beberapa kelerengan yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan tanah sebagai sawah dan tegalan berbeda nyata pada fraksi pasir, ketebalan solum dan daya pelulusan air (p<0.5). Sedangkan berat isi, berat jenis dan porositas tidak berbeda nyata (p>0.5). Kriteria kerusakan tanah pada PERMEN LH NO. 20 tahun 2008 kurang tepat digunakan pada penggunaan lahan sawah.

English Abstract

Theresearch was conducted to evaluate the effect of land management as upland and paddy field continuously for a long time on the physical properties of soil. The study was conducted in July to December 2012 at the District Parengan, Soko, Rangel, Plumpang and Grabagan Tuban Regency. The method in this research is the observation of parameters of the physical properties of soil on upland and paddy land use. The parameter include: the composition of the sand fraction, solum thickness, bulk density, density, porosity and permeability. Observations were made on the same type of soil that is inseptisol and repetition on several different slope. The results showed that the management of paddy and upland soil as significantly different in the sand fraction, the thickness of the solum and the release of water power (p <0.5). While the bulk density, specific gravity and porosity were not significantly different (p> 0.5). Criteria for land damage on PERMEN LH NO. 20 of 2008 is less appropriate in paddy field landuse.
