Indonesian Abstract

Gempa bumi dapat menyebabkan bencana alam yang terjadi di bawah permukaan tanah yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan pada struktur tanah. Resiko kegagalan pada struktur tanah memiliki dampak tanah tidak dapat mendukung atau menopang struktur bangunan di atasnya. Salah satu daerah yang rawan terkena bencana alam gempa bumi adalah Kabupaten Tulungagung yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Bahaya terjadinya likuifaksi akibat gempa bumi dapat menyebabkan amblesan, retakan tanah, runtuhnya bangunan atau dengan keluarnya air dalam tanah saat gempa bumi berlangsung. Perlu dilaksanakan potensi likuifaksi yang terjadi di Kabupaten Tulungagung secara analisis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi potensi likuifaksi yang terjadi di Kabupaten Tulungagung akibat gempa bumi. Analisa potensi likuifaksi menggunakan data pengujian sondir di lapangan atau Cone Penetration Test (CPT). Dalam penelitian ini perlu dilakukan perhitungan kembali terhadap nilai percepatan tanah di permukaan tanah di daerah Padang yang sudah terjadi likuifaksi sesuai dengan data PGA pada penelitian sebelumnya dengan menggunakan rumusan-rumusan empiris. Rumus empiris mutuscha (1980) di pilih sebagai validasi pada perhitungan potensi likuifasi di Kabupaten Tulungagung karena menghasilkan nilai PGA yang paling mendekati dengan nilai PGA di penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan nilai Safety Factor yang diperoleh dari perbandingan antara Cyclic Resistance Ratio (CRR) terhadap Cyclic Stress Ratio (CSR) dengan nilai CRR yang diperoleh berdasarkan data gempa 5,5 skala ritcher dan PGA 24,94 gal yang terjadi relatif besar dibandingkan dengan nilai CSR pada setiap kedalaman, sehingga tidak ada zona kedalaman tertentu yang menghasilkan angka keamanan lebih kecil dari satu. Perhitungan potensi likuifaksi di Kabupaten Tulungagung juga dilakukan dengan kemungkinan terjadi peristiwa gempa yang cukup besar dengan gempa rencana 7,1 skala ritcher akan menghasilkan PGA sebesar 91,145 gal saat kedalaman 10 km dan jarak episenter 162 km menghasilkan zona-zona likuifaksi pada kedalaman lapisan tanah yang bervariasi antara 2,4 meter hingga 16,4 meter. Analisis dilakukan juga dengan gempa rencana 6,4 dengan kondisi gempa dangkal menghasilkan zona likuifaksi pada kedalaman bervariasi antara 4,4 meter hingga 12,6 meter.

English Abstract

Earthquakes can cause natural disasters that occur below the surface of the soil which could lead to the occurrence of the damage to the structure of the soil. The risk of failure in the soil structure have an impact the land cannot support or prop up structures on it. One of the areas that were exposed to the danger of natural disasters of earthquakes was located Tulungagung district, East Java. The danger of the occurrence of liquefaction earthquake can cause soil, cracks, collapse of buildings or by the discharge of water in the soil when an earthquake takes place. The analysis needs to be undertaken of the potential liquefaction that occurred in Tulungagung district. This research has the objective to evaluate the liquefaction potential that occur in Tulungagung district due to the earthquake. Analysis of liquefaction potential using the test data in the sondir field or the Cone Penetration Test (CPT). This research was conducted calculations back against the ground acceleration values at ground level in the area of the field that is already going on liquefaction in accordance with previous research on the PGA data using the formula empirical formulae. Empirical formula mutuscha (1980) on select as validation on the calculation of potential liquefaction in Tulungagung district because it produces the most PGA value approaches the PGA value in previous research. The research results were values Safety Factor obtained from the comparison between Cyclic Resistance Ratio (CRR) of Cyclic Stress Ratio (CSR) with the CRR values were obtained based on the ritcher scale earthquake data 5.5 and PGA 24.94 gal that happens relatively large compared to the value of CSR at any depth, therefore there is no specific depth zones that produce safety factor smaller than one of security. Calculation of potential liquefaction in Tulungagung district also is carried out with the possibility of going on a big enough earthquake events with earthquake plan 7.1 ritcher scale will result in a PGA of 91.145 gal when the depth of 10 km and the distance of the epicenter of the 162 km produce zones of liquefaction soil layer at a depth that varies between 2.4 meters to 16.4 meters. the research on the analysis as well as with an earthquake plan 6.4 with the condition of shallow earthquake generating zones of liquefaction at a depth varying between 4.4 metres up to 12.6 metres.
