Indonesian Abstract

MP-ASI merupakan makanan pendamping ASI yang diberikan kepada bayi setelah umur 6 bulan. Pemberian MP-ASI yang terlalu dini pada bayi akan menyebabkan berbagai gangguan seperti malnutrisi, diare, alergi, difteri, gangguaan tumbuh kembang dan penurunan berat badan. Pemberian MP-ASI dini yang tinggi disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan ibu. Kurangnya informasi dapat menyebabkan pengetahuan ibu rendah. Beberapa media dapat digunakan untuk memberi informasi gizi seperti booklet dan website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan skor pengetahuan ibu hamil trimester III sebelum dan sesudah edukasi gizi melalui media booklet dan website tentang pemberian MP-ASI yang tepat di Kota Malang. Desain penelitian ini adalah studi kuasi eksperimental, pre-test dan post-test intervention. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik multistage sampling dengan jumlah sampel 25 responden pada masing-masing kelompok. Data skor pengetahuan pada ibu hamil trimester III diperoleh melalui pre-test, post-test 1, dan post-test 2. Pada penelitian ini, skor pengetahuan responden mengalami peningkatan saat posttest 1 di kedua media dan terdapat penurunan saat post-test 2. Peningkatan skor pengetahuan secara berturut-turut pada media booklet dan website saat posttest 1 adalah (55 % dan 48 %), sedangkan penurunan saat post-test 2 secara berturut-turut adalah (0,6 % dan 6 %). Hasil dari analisa data terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan setelah diberikan edukasi gizi pada masing-masing media (p = 0,001). Namun, analisa data antara media booklet dan website menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan skor pengetahuan sesaat setelah diberikan edukasi (p = 0,485) dan 1 minggu setelah diberikan edukasi (p = 0,467).

English Abstract

Weaning Food is a complementary feeding which are given to infants after 6 months of age. Early delivery of weaning food in infants will cause various distractions such as malnutrition, diarrhea, allergies, diphtheria, growth and weight loss. The high rate of early weaning food is due to a lack of mother knowledge.Lack of information can cause less of low mother’s knowledge. Various media can be used to provide nutritional information such as through booklet and website. The purpose of this research is to know the differences in the score of pregnant women knowledge at 3rd trimester before and after nutritional education through booklet and website regarding the provision of proper weaning food in Malang. The design of this research was a quasiexperimental study, pre-test and post-test intervention. Sampling was done using multistage sampling technique with 25 respondents in each group. Score of knowledge on 3rd trimester pregnant woman obtained through pre-test, post-test 1, and post-test 2. In this research, score of respondents' knowledge increased during post-test 1 in both of groups and there was a decrease in post-test 2. The enhancement of knowledge scores respectively on the booklet and website during post-test 1 were (55% and 48%), while the decrease in post-test 2 was respectively (0.6% and 6%). The result of data analysis is improvement of knowledge after given nutrition education on each groups (p = 0,001). However, data analysis between booklet and website showed no difference in knowledge of shortly score after being given education (p = 0,485) and 1 week after being given education (p = 0,467).
